I think I started to go a little crazy from not doing any real layering in the past couple of weeks, so I put on two dresses. :P Mind you, they're very thin, so there wasn't any chance of me dying of a heat stroke!
How I managed to wear two form fitting dresses and not look like a burrito, I have no idea. However, I'm glad that I could make it work, because I love these colors together. I'm always experimenting with combining different shades of the same hue and I was recently inspired by a photo of pastel vintage cars (and a scooter). I loved the color scheme in the photo and I wondered if I could combine them in an outfit and do so in a more or less uncomplicated way. Since the light blue floral dress and the dark blue pleated dress had the same colors, I just wore them together. ^_^ Also, I wanted to play up the fact that the outer dress is shorter and highlight more than just the floral collar of the inner dress.
I honestly wasn't sure about adding the white gilled sandals. I'm not completely convinced that white shoes look good on me. >_< Still, I feel like the white color was totally appropriate given the overall color scheme. I dunno. I'd like to wear these shoes more often. Hopefully, they'll grow on me. ^_^
P.S. - If you like the dark blue dress, it is available in a different size in my Storenvy shop!
