Green With Envy

Hallo! :P This was taken during the week, I think. Yes. It was a Thursday, I believe. I studied until about 4 PM (which is super early for me) as I had a couple of Etsy packages to take to the post office. I hadn't had a thing to eat the whole day, because I suck at eating when I'm busy. So, the plan was to mail the packages and then go to a nearby cafe for coffee and all day breakfast sandwiches, what what! :DDD

There was a super long line at the post office, too. Uggggh. The post office is soooo tiny! It's a pharmacy in the front and then the post office is in the back basement. I still can't get used to the feeling of walking by a bunch of liquid soap and feminine hygiene products to get to that post office counter. Y'all do some things differently, here. I get it. I feel you. No worries. It's not you, it's me. I'll cope. Hehe.

Also, as you can imagine, I got stared at like woah while waiting in line. Some people kept furtively looking back at me. I just tried to cover my face with the packages I had been carrying. T_T In their defence, though, I will say that I would look at me too, because I'm basically dressed like an elf. Haha.
I mean, I'm totally getting Santa's helper vibes and I was holding packages. So, I mean. OK. Hehe.

Honestly, I would have preferred any comparisons to Link from Legend of Zelda. Hehe. I mean the yellow tights totally get me there. Sooooo. Yeah. I took a chance with green monochrome and I have zero regrets. <3 At any rate, that was my little adventure for the day. When we got to the cafe, it was already dark outside. Super depressing, but at least I got to feel the sun on my face for a little while. :P

Hi hi hi! I wanted to wear something full of holiday cheer or whatever. So, this is what I came up with. :DDD Also, I'm super impressed with my color coordination, if I may be so bold. Hehe. <3 <3 <3

I started with the plaid shirt dress and just took it from there. I decided to wear it like a button down shirt and just layer a sweater and a skirt over it. You can see me wearing the full dress here. I knew I'd run the risk of looking "matchy-matchy" by sticking with the underlying color scheme, but *shrug*. :P~

I added the cat hat, because, why not? It's fun. I don't wear it nearly as often as I should, so I'm starting early. ;) The adorable socks seemed like a no-brainer, too. It had all of the right colors and I liked the potentially upsetting Spring vibes they give off and how that contrasts with the winter coat and sweater.

All in all, the outfit is a mash up of feminine and masculine elements, bright primary colors and just the right amount of kitsch to either amuse or annoy. *^_^* It was worth it just to be the only person not wearing black, brown or grey for as far as the eye could see and in every direction. <3

Since, I'm only posting once a week, it seems I won't see you, again, until after XMAS. So, happy holidays! Have a rad weekend, stay safe and warm and have one too many egg nogs for me. ;)
