Welcome to Melodic, Thrifty & Chic! Here you can view my everyday fashion blog, listen to sweet beats on my music blog and buy designer and vintage clothing. :D Sales from my Etsy shop, along with your donations, help to keep my blog afloat!
My style is difficult to describe or even categorize, but I think the closest label would be "eclectic." It's unpredictable and different, but also aesthetically interesting and consistent in quality. So, you're going to see a lot of things you've probably never seen before.
I think our style of dress is intimately connected to who we are. Our creativity, our self-esteem and even our societal status are on display and open to public scrutiny with every outfit we put together. At the end of the day, we're all just trying to do the best we can with what we have. So, style is very personal and I think it's important to be sensitive to that as a fashion blogger and as a style critic.
I want you to know that I'm putting myself out there with each blog post. I'm literally showing you who I am for better or for worse. That's really scary to think about, but I've found that the friendships and professional relationships that have emerged as a result make it all worth it. Please know that your constructive criticism and support is very much appreciated!
I enjoy putting together outfits that tell a story and that inspire the kind of dialogue you might find between two people studying a painting at an art gallery. I would love for you to be a part of that conversation, but I appreciate all of my viewers (even those of you who prefer to silently and thoughtfully admire). Thanks so much for visiting and please feel free to contact me with questions and concerns!
