Razzle dazzle! o_O O_o *opens curtains and bangs pots and pans* Carpe diem and all that, bitches! :D Wakey Wakeeyyyy! Haha. I got your hangover helper, right here. If this outfit doesn't wake you up and/or make you want to drink yourself blind just to spare you from the clashing prints then I dunno what will. >=] People will either love this or hate it. Even I was a little bit on the fence about it.

This mix of prints brought me so much joy, though. I felt happy just looking at it. I got the idea, last summer. Initially, I tried on the apple print dress with the corduroy houndstooth pants and the dress was too bunchy. Yes, that IS a dress, people. Magic! Hehe. Click here to see it full length. The pants sat too low on my waist and the waist was just too big to begin with. I was obsessed with this pairing. So, I got the pants tailored. The seamstress added an extra two inches in length and took in the waist a bit for me. I wasn't able to wear the combo last Fall or this Winter, so I couldn't wait for Spring to arrive.

I swear. I lint rolled this coat before I left the house!

You can totally see where the waist of the dress is, too. Haha. I typically don't care about that, though. All I care about is achieving what I set out to achieve (i.e. to combine two radical prints that I love and make it work). In that regard, the additional two inches of height on my waist band really helped. ^_^

I don't care if this look is unpalatable to a majority of people. The mix of prints made me so happy. I was giddy all f*cking day and it was this combination that inspired me to alter my pants in the first place. Heh. I've never had a piece of clothing altered *just* so that I could wear it with some other piece in my wardrobe. It's a crazy outfit, but I'm owning it. I take full responsibility for your temporary blindness. ;P

Yay, this print soup makes me happy as well! ^_^ Didn't notice that this was a dress! The tailor did an amazing job, these pants are smoking hot! I don't have a hangover, but I'm quite tipsy from this beer I just devoured and these prints are hypnotizing!

I liked it very much! It looks totally sweet and I like the mix of prints! And colors, floral and black and white! I liked the collar of the top, and I say, seamstresses are the best - I have one that copes with all my strange requests! So, well done for the pants, so you could wear them! I really liked the outfit and I think your pictures are very beautiful, you look gorgeous! I want to wear this combination, but for the pants, oooh, I need to lose some weight!

This looks awesome! How on earth do you manage to tuck a dress in your trousers and not look like you've got a squidgy tum and bum?! I think the 2 patterns go very well together. The dress is mainly monochrome, just with added apples...

Hahaha. Squidgy tums and bums are no good, indeed. ^_^ I'll do a tutorial about how to wear dresses in unconventional ways later this month (and hopefully have a good answer to that question). :D

the most important thing is to feel comfortable and happy! So if you did, all is great :D I love this print combo, too, and the black coat makes it less motley (don't know if it's the right adjective? ;))
