I Opened My Eyes And All I Could See Was 1993

Oh, hey! What's up? I'm not wearing my glasses! Omfg! o_O I'm also showing some bare leg! Oooh la la. ;D Haha. Yeah, I'm just channeling the early to mid-90's with this outfit. I layered up like woah, so I'm going to do a strip tease here and peel away each layer so you can see the method to my madness.

Aww man. You know what, you guys? I should have worn some fingerless black gloves with this. Aww, dammit. That would've been cool. Thing is, it was kind of hot..Hehe. So, yeah. I'm OK with not having sweaty hands. :D I wore a lot of layers, but each piece was very light weight and semi sheer, so it felt really comfortable. The summer breeze just flowed through and made all the layers wisp gracefully.

Yup. I just need a big old pair of headphones and a portable CD Player and I would be good to go. Haha. :P As you can see, I created three different looks in one. I love doing this kind of thing. Basically, I can choose which look I want to show off, just by removing one or two pieces. If I get too hot and remove a piece or two, I'm still stylin'. If I get cold and I need to add a layer or two.. yup. You guessed it. Still stylin' Haha. :P This high low plaid top from Nasty Gal is a fantastic layering piece! :DDD

I also decided to take advantage of the adjustable nature of my boots (seriously my favorite purchase of 2012 as I just can't stop wearing these). The plaid lining is a little bothersome for styling purposes. It can create some unintentional clashing situations, so I have to pick and choose when I show that lining.

After I took these, I grabbed my gear and biked down to one of my favorite java joints. The long layers can make biking kind of difficult, but I easily fixed that by taking the end of the black top and the end of red plaid top and tying them in a knot at my waist. I found that I had unintentionally created another interesting style by doing that. Hehe. So yeah, I managed to not get my clothes caught in my bike spokes and still be totally stylin'. :P Oh and I apologize for my meaty-looking, completely not sexy at all calves. Haha. I'm a runner and I..uh..can't help it. Heh. I started out as a sprinter, actually. :D

Spring In June

Hello! Here's something I wore for a night of drinking and merriment. :D This will be a short post since it's a bit of a remix of items I've featured previously. I love the idea of wearing floral tights in June. :P Luckily, these are quite breathable, so they weren't uncomfortable to wear during the height of the heat.

The jacket is something I haven't worn in a while. It's still in like-new condition. It's not very warm at all, as it is more of a Spring/Summer garment. It has a tie on the inside that you can use to gather the waist and make it look more fitted. Here, I simply left the jacket unzipped, but gathered it inside to keep the jacket looking structured. I buttoned my cardigan to give the illusion that I was wearing a vest. :P

In keeping with the color scheme in the tights, I wore a light denim top and a light pink hair-clip that I decided would look better on me as a bow tie. ;D I really like it. I think I'll just keep wearing it that way.

I finished the look with dark colors via the cardigan, bag and shoes to draw greater attention to the brighter hues of my outfit. The tights really are the main attraction and I wanted to keep it that way. :P
