Omg, brah! Check out my new canvas bag! It's f*cking insane! Haha! <3 I can't wait for farmer's market to start up again so I can scare unsuspecting olds and innocent children with this beast of a bag. ^__^
Man, this veritable bag of holding (gold star for the nerds who smirked at that reference) is so rad sauce. It's freakin' huuuuge and so obnoxious. Haha. I'm pretty sure you can see the print from a mile away. The bag itself is sturdy and it has a velcro strip at the top to keep it closed. Also, it has actual zippers coiled around the kid's eyes! TIL Darling has several of these (equally crazy) carry-all tote bags from which to choose, but I had to have this one. Its insanity spoke to me. What can I say? Haha.
On this day, my partner and I grabbed coffee and then took a little detour on a side street to get these photos for you guys. We had a bunch of errands to run (i.e. grocery shopping and Bed Bath & Beyond shenanigans - can you believe we didn't have a spice rack until last week? It's painful to think about Haha >_<). Where was I? Erm.. Oh! So, this huge bag came in handy, because the grocery store we went to only had plastic bags. I hate that. I always ask for paper so we can use it for our recycling.
I know, this is very important information for you guys. Haha. There's a point to all of this somewhere.. Hmm. Oh, the point is that this kick ass canvas bag held a LOT of groceries. Like three to four plastic bags worth! The weight of the bag didn't put strain on the handles. It was very comfortable to carry. Needless to say, I was a very happy camper. I scared people and helped the environment. ^_^
Alright, enough about the bag. Haha. What else am I wearing? Well, this outfit is mostly recycled. You last saw the ModCloth houndstooth dress in this previous post, the thrifted pleather leggings were last worn here and the TIL Darling vegan leather jacket was last worn here, among other posts.
The studded backpack, however, is a new addition! I received it from my sponsor, Sammydress. It cost about $16.00 and it's large enough to hold my 13 inch Macbook with room to spare. So, it's perfect basically. The dark color makes it go with every outfit, which is key, because I really wanted a bag I could carry at any time and that would hold all of my coffee shop loitering essentials. Hehe.
The studs make it a little more interesting and edgier than a regular black backpack and that's why I decided to wear it instead of using a handbag. It added to the scariness of the outfit, I guess. Haha. I just stuffed my zipper pouch full of awesomeness, wallet, phone and thick scarf in there. Good to go! :D
Wait, there's more! Hehe. You might have noticed a strange yellow substance plaguing my knee caps. o_O O_o That would be a pair of mustard ModCloth tights I got from my clothing swap group.
I realized that I put together a classic, monochromatic outfit. So, to shake things up a bit, I wore the mustard tights underneath the leggings. This way, I could unzip them and show off a little color. :P
