Hi! ^_^ This is a very simple outfit that I wore over the weekend. I received the beautiful vintage floral dress from my clothing swap group. I fell in love with it at first sight. The quality wasn't exactly what I was expecting, but the defects don't bother me that much. I tend to have a higher tolerance for that sort of thing where vintage clothing is concerned. Sometimes, it just kind of goes with the territory. :P
The print on the dress is so fantastic and totally appropriate for the season. It was a gorgeous day, too, so I didn't have any desire to layer anything over it. It has huge belt loops, but it didn't come with a belt. I wouldn't have used it, even if it did, though. I'm not that into large belts. I just ignored the loops and tied a thin woven belt around the waist. I added some understated (but wonderful) tassel loafers and my favorite mint handbag. Then, I finished with the webbed tights for some extra vintage flair. ^_^
I was just going to call it a day, but I decided to show you guys my backgammon set. Hehe. It was no imposition, since we were on our way to get coffee and I was carrying it. So, I just held on to it for the photos. I think I've talked about my obsession with backgammon several times over the years. I'm such an old. >_< I know. Haha. It's a wonderful game of skill and luck, though. I never get tired of it. :D <3
Anyway, we used to have a really dinky set. However, a few years ago, we put our pennies together and got a nice wooden board with hand carved pieces. After snapping some photos, we went to one of my favorite java joints, got some iced coffees and settled in for a best of three. It was a good day! :3
