My hair. Wtf. I know. You see, what happened was... I wore my hair in twists like this for most of the day. When I let the twists out, my hair looks like a curly mess. My partner got a new job (w00t!) and he had a lot of work to do on his laptop, so I convinced him to go for a walk ('twas a beautiful day) to a coffee shop nearby, so he could work and I could drink coffee and watch him work. Hehe. I was getting dressed and about to pull my hair back when he told me he liked my hair the way it was. At which point, I groaned, rolled my eyes and said, "fine." So, I mashed a hat on to my messy hair. Bah! >_<
The rad mustard coat and teal fringe scarf are items I've worn before on the old blog. I think this is my second time wearing the yellow coat, though. The last time I wore it, there was snow on the ground. o_O The thing is, it's more like a Spring/Fall coat. The material is not too heavy and not too light, but definitely too thick for Summer and too thin for Winter (without some extra layers). It's more like a blazer. So, now is the time to wear it, because I won't be able to break it out again until Spring. :D
You guys already know that I typically feel like a man in a woman's body, so the suspenders and necktie should be expected. Hehe. What pains me is that I haven't worn this necktie in foreeeever. Click here to see how I last styled it. You'd think that if I went through the trouble of having something custom made and shipped from Montreal, I would wear it more. I just forget about how much awesome sh*t I have. It's the story of my life and the reason why I'm glad I've been on a spending freeze since January. Heh.
So, here are the two new additions to my wardrobe. :D The kick ass patterned socks are from my sponsor, Sammy-Icon. You can see the socks in more detail here. They are a mix of teal, grey and yellow, but those bits are covered up. Their socks are affordable; the designs are pretty rad; and the quality is very good. My shipment arrived in less than two weeks from Ukraine and it was well packaged. I also got purple socks with red polka dots (sounds weird, but they're super cute I promise!). I'll style those on my blog later, so you can see another example of what Sammy-Icon socks look like.
The cut-out oxfords are from UrbanOG. ^_^ I've always wanted a pair of more sophisticated oxfords and these are perfect. I won an UrbanOG fashion contest awhile back on Instagram and the prize was a gift certificate. So, I waited very patiently (like five months) until I found exactly what I wanted to buy. I also got another pair of shoes that I've been coveting and I'll very likely show those off, later. :P
That's it! :D We walked a bit, enjoyed the nice weather and drank coffee. A good day. <3
