I've been wearing a lot of cutesy things, lately. So, I wanted to end the week with something a little dark and edgy, but not necessarily scary. ;P Also, as you can see, I took a stab at showing a little cleavage. Ooh la la. o_O Haha. I was going to wear something sheer underneath the bustier top, but I figured, 'Hey, I'm young. I should show a little skin before it gets all wrinkly. Live a little, Anna!' Hehe.

Plus, I got a chance to show off my dragon tattoo. :DDD It's on my back, so I keep forgetting I have it! >_< I got the work done six years ago and I've probably shown it off maybe a dozen times. I don't often wear things that show my off chest and back. Hmm. Since when did I become so conservative? Haha.

Anyway, it was chilly enough for a coat, but too hot for a sweater. So, the outfit was appropriate for all-day wear. You might recognize the black lace maxi skirt. Click here to see how I last wore it as part of a scarier outfit. ;D I decided to pin the skirt, again, but at a sharper angle so it would twist and fold at the side. I've always wanted one of those asymmetrical twist maxi skirts, but I can't justify spending money on something like that, right now. So, I used a pin and made my own. ^_^
Like I said before, I can't sew a garment from scratch, but I can still find ways to "make" new clothes for myself. Heh.

The crazy bright turquoise over-the-knee socks are from my sponsor, Sock It To Me. It's the final pair of socks that I received from them and it's quite an eye catcher. Normally, I would wear them underneath jeans and just roll up the cuffs to show off the rad print (and that's probably how they'll get worn from here on out). However, the print is so bright and fun that I would have felt bad about not showing the socks in their entirety. I wanted a pop of color without being too distracting, so I twisted the skirt in such a way that it would conceal most of one sock while completely showing off the other.
:P
Yep. That's basically it! I didn't do any crazy layering to add drama. Instead, I played with colors and shapes to make this simple outfit a little more fun to look at it. :D Finally, I want to take this opportunity to thank Sock It To Me for taking a chance on me and for putting trust in my sense of style. I absolutely love the socks I have received and I'm really grateful for the opportunity. Thanks for being awesome! <3

I am very happy you decided to show the socks in their whole glory because the outfit turned out amazing! The dark + playful + a little naughty combo is something I rarely see from you and I like it, you're a hottie! :D
Also, brilliant idea to pin the skirt like that, you're so creative when it comes to clothes, I'm always mentally challenged when it comes to altering my wardrobe. >.<
Maybe you can start making a habit of wearing stuff with bare back in the summer. There are lots of cute blouses and tops that aren't too tacky and you can show your awesome tattoo!

Haha. It's hard for me to see myself as a "hottie," but that's a major compliment coming from you, so thanks! *^_^* <3

You're right about being able to find a middle ground between showing a lot of skin (to celebrate a tattoo) and not looking tacky/trashy. I'm going to work on trying to be less sensitive about what parts of my body that I show. I still feel uncomfortable when I don't wear layers. >_<

I like what you did with the skirt!

The tattoo is FAB! I'm surprised you ever cover it up.

It's true, wearing the socks that way give the outfit a great pop of color and they are eye catching this way! So it was a good decision to wear them this way - the boots are also so cute! You are so right, you can make and transform your clothes with a pin, and the skirt looks good so! Plus, yes, you are young, so why not showing a bit of cleavage and the nice dragon tattoo! I know what you mean by being conservative - or "since when I became so?" - I myself never wear mini skirts, but some years ago I did, sometimes. Cleavage, never, and once I was in the line of a bank and a lady asked me "are you religious?" Hahahaha! Out of the blue! Because of my clothes :) I am trying to change a bit, but I need some more time! I loved your outfit, as usual, and I think you look gorgeous!

Hahahaha. Omgosh. I can't believe that. I've had someone ask me if I were a Christian, but it wasn't because of what I was wearing, it was just because I was being fair in our course of dealing. I guess she expected me to charge her a whole lot for the service or something. I told her I was an atheist and then she really didn't know what to think. People be crazy, yo. Heh. Well, it sounds like you need to start showing a little more boob, madam! ;D

I used to wear some really skimpy things back in the day, but now I'm just completely different. I think I was trying to be 'sexy,' but I thought showing skin was how you do that. I was young and stupid, you see. Hehe. Now, I realize that there's more to me than looking like I would be a "good lay." I'd rather look interesting, quirky, unusual, outrageous, over sexy. All of those things describe me better, anyway, I think. ;P I'm no sexpot. I'm just a weirdo. ^_^

Oh la la! This is an edgy Anna post - a bit of cleavage AND another glimpse of your sweet, sweet tat! Haha. Awesome.

When I saw the first pic, I only saw the top half and thought you were wearing some really awesome high waist black jacquard trousers... And although the skirt and socks are totally amazing, now I want these trousers that I've imagined. Thanks a lot! :P

Love the socks, they add a lot of fun and let the viewer know you don't take yourself too seriously. :D

Dude, that would have been *amazing.* Hehe. I kinda want those, now, too! :D Oh and yeah, I don't think I could ever see myself as this hardcore, super important fashionista. I could pretend to be that person for maybe 5 minutes before starting to laugh. It's just not me at all. Hehe. :P

Oh la la is right!! Love the tattoo, that is awesome and it is nice to wear something edgy when you've been all cutesy at times. A good mix. Love the lace, it's marvellous, such a fab outfit!! xx

I like how the color adds what could be "cutesy" but the black balances that so it doesn't tip into twee. It shows how versatile things can be when you think out of the box.

Dang I wish I could wear over the knee socks but my legs are kinda um... fat... so I'd have to scrunch them down for some impromptu leg warmers. Time for a new plus-sized fashion trend!

This is such a hot look. I have a similar skirt and I'm so worry about wearing it because of my hips, but I like how you wore it here. May give it a go.
