More darkness coming through. >:D Sooooo, I'm actually wearing two coats, here. Yeah. Super rad. Hehe. You can see a full view of the light brown coat here. I took the leather belt from that coat and used it in place of the larger belt that came with the dark brown coat. :P I love this look, you guys. <3
I should wear two coats more often. For real. Heh. :D The rest of the outfit is black monochrome, as you can see, but with a mix of textures. I wore alace maxi skirt like a dress (just hiked it up over my chest) and then layered an asymmetrical wrap cardigan over it. The wrap cardigan was meant to be the "top," basically, so I never took it off. Also, if I did, people would see the band of the skirt, so. Yeah. Heh.
I added the shiny black boots for more texture and contrast. I love the wooden heel. It's such a nice little touch and it's something that isn't immediately noticeable, so it's a great surprise when I turn to the side. Then I just finished up with the textured black infinity scarf that I wore as a snood. I grabbed the largest, darkest pair of sunnies I have, flipped up the deep hood on the lighter coat and set off to scare people.
I felt super incognito in this look (and incredibly warm and cozy, too!). I joked with my partner as we walked to a nearby cafe about what my police sketch photo would look like. Haha. If I had committed a crime and someone described me to the police, I bet that sketch would look super rad. Just sayin'. ;)
At any rate, I think I've gotten all the dark twisty stuff out of my system (for now). It'll be lots of bright colours for a few weeks. A bit of a 180, but that's kind of how I roll. Gotta keep you on your toes!
