Hey, there! This will be a short post since I'm only wearing a couple new things. The brown wrap coat is from ModCloth and I was lucky enough to get it on final sale. It's BB Dakota and it was called the "In Full Force Coat" on the website. I always feel a bit like a ninja whenever I tie that black belt. ^___^
Admittedly, it isn't the warmest coat and I would have preferred a thicker, heavier coat on this bitingly cold and windy evening. However, this is the only brown coat I own and I felt the vintage dress underneath required an earthy color as a compliment. Black and grey could have been too boring.
You may remember the vintage fur hat from this previous post. My hands were pretty icy even in my gloves, but my ears were nice and warm thanks to the hat. :D I love pretty much all things from the 80s, so of course I adore this little beauty. ^_^ It's for sale in my Etsy store, too! I believe this plaid dress is from the late 50s, early 60s based on the brand tag and overall style. I received the dress earlier this year from a girl in my swap group. I have to say, she has impeccable taste in clothing. The dress is very well made and the colors and patterns are so perfect for Fall.
The navy and maroon colors remind me of the sky when the sun is setting. I don't know why, but they just do. Sometimes garments exude certain emotions and I pick up on those feelings. I guess it's a little bit like when people say such and such "spoke to me." Well, I really like what this dress has to say. ;D
