Dammit. It snowed. I was just starting to get used to a heretofore unknown, snowless winter. Gaia gets me, every time. You got me, girl. It's OK, though. On this day, I came prepared, you see. :DDD
Anyway, the point is to blind Gaia every time I step outside the house. She thinks I'm going to be all sad and pissed about having to shovel snow. She thinks I'm going to be wearing my feelings in the form of black and grey. Then, BAM! I just playfully mess with or Rickroll her, if you will. Hehe. Yes, it will be annoying, but deep down there's a part of all of us that enjoys it. ♫ Never gunna give you up.... ♫
So, much of what I'm wearing here isn't new. In that regard, there are some honorable mentions. The ping pong shirt hasn't gotten any wear since September, which is a shame. It's one of my favorite shirts. I wore a thermal top and then another long sleeved top over that to make the shirt winter-ready.
I used the black pleated lace skirt as a layering tool, last summer. Click here to see how I wore it.
Hmm? Oh, the link you're looking for would be here. My apologies. ;D So, this blue pom pom hat is a new addition to my wardrobe. I received it from my sponsor, Oasap. It was $6.72 the last time I checked. It's my first blue hat and the multi-color pom pom is pretty fun. I'm happy with it. ^_^ I wore my hair in thick braids and I had a pair of bulky ear warmers on underneath, so it may look a bit lumpy. >_<
This is my first time wearing these multi-color socks. They're so bright and fun. :D Last year, I won a Threadless style contest and one of my prizes was a gift card to Sock It To Me. So, I was able to pick out several pairs of socks. The socks I ordered were well-made and they had nice quality prints. ^_^
So, that's that. I made a concerted effort to go an entire post without saying anything self-deprecating about my ability to put colors together. Ohhhhh, how I wanted to. >_< Haha. I'm trying to be more confident about my color coordination. Being unduly negative can undermine that confidence, I know. That being said, I always appreciate constructive feedback. If you have ideas about how I could have made this outfit better, don't be afraid to say something! :D Thanks and have an awesome weekend!
