ModCloth 70% Off Sale Happening Now!

It is this annual sale that I've looked forward to every year since 2010/2011. Whenever I get a gift certificate to ModCloth for my birthday or XMAS, I will (im)patiently save it for January, because I know I'll be able to get the most out of it. For many years, this was ModCloth's "Cabin Fever Sale." Everything in the sale section would be 70% off. Everything. 1000s of items. You might even see full priced, newer items thrown in there. Mayhem! Starting last year, however, it has become an "up to 70% off sale."

So, now the sale section is a mixed bag savings wise. IMO, last year's selection didn't have the same wow factor, either. Nevertheless, the chance to get something I've wanted for a year or more for 70% off keeps me coming back. This year, I'm pleasantly surprised by the offerings. Here are some favorites!

There are only a few sales each year that I get really excited about and I can't help but share my excitement with you guys. :D The sale will last for maybe another four days and items tend to sell out crazy quick. That being said, I have noticed that sometimes new items are added throughout the sale. So, if you don't see anything you like, today, keep checking back! Have fun shopping! <3

I just got the Toggle Coat yesterday. I'm so stoked for it. Wasn't even looking for a coat!

I don't know which one you got, since I posted two, but I happen to love them both. So, I'm jealous either way. Haha. I saw so many things that I wanted, but I had to ask myself if I *needed* them. The answer was 'no' for pretty much everything. Stupid spending freeze and the stupid values it instilled in me. Heh. If only the things I really need were on sale! >_<

Yeah, there were two big ones! This one and then one other one...I think it was close to or during summer? I can't remember. :D

Do you mean the Stylish Surprise? Yeah, I've participated in it only twice. It's fun! I couldn't participate last year, because of the spending freeze, but if I have some extra money lying around, I might go for it again. :P

Interesting that you find the sales to be a bit more Meh in recent years! I've found that too! I bought a ton of stuff at the end of 2012/early 2013... And haven't really purchased anything since. I tried to buy something in the 2013 black friday sale, but ended up sending everything back except a pair of earrings.

There's always a few things I see on their site that I love, but modcloth isn't my main online go-to store anymore.

Yeah, I mean I have to be honest. Heh. Maybe they'll go back to doing a full on 70% off sale at some point. Perhaps, later this year. That would be rad. I just don't feel like I'm getting a huge bargain, this time, around. I'm a thrifter, though. If it isn't rock bottom pricing, then of course I'll feel like that. Haha. The prices are still pretty good all things considered. :P

I hear you about go-to on-line shops. I have a circle of trust for shops. I have ModCloth in that list, but also stores like Forever 21, H&M, Chicwish, etc. I make the rounds on all of those before I make any final decisions.

Oh my goodness, that blue velvet dress is absolutely gorgeous!! I wish I could afford to buy more from Modcloth, but sometimes the shipping ends up costing more than the item :( I can't wait to see what you decided to buy!
