70% Off Sale On ModCloth Starts Today!

I've been saving my XMAS gift certificates for just this type of occasion. 70% off sales on ModCloth are rare. They only happen a few times a year and it's the largest discount that they offer. When you see me list ModCloth items as "thrifted," that usually means that I got the items at rock bottom prices through a 70% off sale. I'm a little confused since ModCloth typically holds its Cabin Fever 70% Off Sale in January. However, they're doing this Now Or Never Sale. If they end up doing another 70% Off Sale this month, I'll be sure to keep you updated, though I believe this would be unprecedented.

You'll notice that a couple of these items were offered at 50% off in previous sales. If you didn't feel like taking the plunge at 50% off, you may want to consider doing so at the steeper discount. My advice would be to get what you want now, since there's no guarantee that there will be another sale like this before the end of the month! Also, be advised that the items being offered are FINAL SALE! This means no refunds, returns or exchanges. So make sure you read the product descriptions carefully!

70+ items disappeared from the sale as I typed this out and the sale has only been going on for about 60 minutes. Haha. It's always a mad house and ModCloth has had issues in the past with its servers crashing due to the increased traffic on the website, so make your selections early! Good luck!

As soon as I saw the title of this post I clicked over to another tab and snagged two dresses and a pair of earrings. I was affected by the server crash last year, so I'm crossing my fingers that my order goes through.

Rad! I don't blame you. Normally when I hear about these things, I'm at work. So, I have to scramble on my cell phone during my lunch break to get stuff I've been pining after for months. Luckily, I'm home all day today, so not only was I able to shop the sale, but I had enough time to tell people about it within the first hour.

I heard people are already starting to have problems with the website and it's after 5 PM CST, so more people are going to be logging in as they get home from work. I wrote down the number of items when the sale started (because I'm kind of anal I guess I dunno leave me alone hehe) and it was 1044 and now it's down to 815 in just 5 hours. o_O O_o

Yes! I've wanted it ever since it was in the Coming Soon section. I've since added and removed it from my wish list maybe three times. Finally my size sold out, so it didn't matter. I love the look of the dress, but I know I wouldn't really have anywhere to wear it. I just had to be honest with myself (for once) hehe. I will envy every girl that has it, though.

I've never actually ordered clothing online before, but this sale is EXTREMELY tempting. I'm always so worried that I'll hate the clothing when it arrives and the thought of shipping anything back seems like such a hassle.

A sale like this could be a good way to test it out.....that coat is pretty stunning!

Return shipping is always free within the U.S.! You can print your prepaid shipping label right from your account! ASOS is the only international on-line store that I know of that offers free return shipping. ModCloth might offer that, too, I've just never had a reason to look it up. Anyway, it's highly convenient. You just reuse the same box they sent you, slap on the shipping label and drop it off at the USPS. Done and done!

Aww <3 I guess I'm desensitized to how expensive things are around here. 70% off seems like a steal. Of course 90% would be better, but that would be throwing a wrench in capitalism and profits are the difference between life and death! o_O

I must be broken as I'm not even tempted. I waited too long during their Black Friday sale and ended up sending literally everything back except a pair of earrings (what a waste in terms of the price of shipping!! Bleh!). So for the moment I've sworn off modcloth - maybe permanently as I think either I've gotten too old or they have started marketing to customers much younger than me. *gasp* I know. I feel a little bit dirty saying it out loud.
