Overalls in the winter time. I did it again. >;] Why? Well, because I can and I really like the comfort of overalls. Yeah. How you like me, now? Hehe. These vintage thick denim overalls provide the perfect defense against cold and wind. Well, from the waist down, anyway. :DDD The roomy legs are ideal for layering. I can wear thick leggings and two pairs of socks and no one would be the wiser, really. ;P
To keep things warm and toasty on top, I wore thermals underneath a plain black sweater and then tacked on a faux leather zipper vest. I love this vest so much. Best thrift find ever! I've had it for ages. The fur hood is detachable, too! I'm fond of putting unconventional garments together and trying to make them work. I haven't seen anyone wearing a hooded zipper vest with overalls, let alone in the winter, so I had to go for it. Hehe. I think I was able to pull it off. ;D I added the double breasted black coat for a clean finish and that was that! I like that, when the coat is buttoned, it looks like I'm wearing loose fitting jeans. I always try to hold something back to keep people guessing about the full outfit.
Yep. I'm pretty sure I scared a *few* people with this one or made them super uncomfortable, at the very least. My partner and I stopped at a coffee shop to get some much needed rocket fuel as it was -20F with the windchill. Yeah, dudes. It was deathly cold. >_< Anyway, this middle aged lady and her husband sat down next to us and she just couldn't stop looking at me. I tried to ignore her. A part of me wanted to laugh, but I was afraid that any sudden noise from me would give her a heart attack. o_O
