Earlier this year, I won a Threadless style contest and one of my prizes was a gift certificate to Warby Parker. I'm super stoked to get some new glasses, bro! The glasses you see me wearing on my blog are NOT prescription. I know, it's stupid, but I love those frames more than the ones that I'm supposed to be wearing. :F So, I wear the fashion glasses when I go out and I wear my nerd glasses at home.
I mentioned in a previous post that I recently updated my prescription, so now I can get glasses with snazzy frames that I can actually see out of! Huzzah! Haha. I got several pairs of glasses delivered to me for free as part of Warby Parker's Home Try-On Program. Basically, you pick out the glasses you like and they'll send them to you to try for five days. When you're done with them, you just send them back in the same box using a pre-paid shipping label that they've included in the package!
Easy peasy! OK, so below is a picture of me wearing this first pair of glasses. I should warn you. I'm not wearing any makeup in these photos, because who wears makeup around the house? Haha. Weird. I'm also wearing a sh*tty sweater, because it's really soft and comfortable and that's just how I like to roll.
Also, I'm wearing my favorite animal hats, because who the f*ck wears animal hats around the house? This guy right here. :D Alright? OK? Now, brace yourselves and answer me this, friends: Yea or nay?
I like Adventure Time #1, but I don't know how I feel about the matte black look. What do you think?
Ultimately, I'd like to get two pairs of frames, so if you like more than one, tell me! I'm definitely going to choose one of the black frames as my everyday pair, but I don't know which one to get. >_< To help me decide, ask yourselves which pair of black glasses you wouldn't mind seeing me wear in 90% of my blog posts, because that's basically what's going to happen. Haha. :DDD OK, here are the next two!
I think Monkey #2 is quirky and fits my personality. It's a contender for the second pair that I would buy. I'm leaning towards choosing Monster #3 as my staple black pair, but I want to hear your thoughts!
Finally, here is the fourth pair of frames I picked. It's the exact same style as Monster #3, but it has an ombre effect. I think this frame is pretty classy! Hehe. Here's how it looks on my goofy mug! :D~
So, for my staple, everyday pair of glasses I think it's between Adventure Time #1 and Monster #3. For my backup pair, I'm trying to decide between going quirky with Monkey #2 or a little more sophisticated with Pedo Bear #4. :D I won't make my final decision until I've had a chance to hear a variety of opinions, though.
