Oh, how the heads turned, this day. Haha. I was in the check-out line at the grocery store and the lady checking out our stuff said I looked like Paddington Bear. o_O O_o She said it was the hat in combination with the blue coat. I chuckled. That didn't even occur to me. *shrug* I'll accept it. Hehe.
Honestly, I was expecting to possibly upset someone, as the hat isn't exactly .... umm ... well .... appropriate, I guess is the word. Heh. I'll just leave this here. It was a gift from my partner. Just something cute to add to my collection of hats that I like to wear around the apartment (though, I was brave enough to wear this one outdoors). I don't subscribe to the connotations and drama surrounding the bear hat. I just think the bear is funny. It's dark humour for sure, but I mean no offence!
Right. OK. Heh. So, when I was putting this outfit together on my mannequin, I took a step back and I thought, a brown hat of some sort was needed. I have a couple, but I didn't really like how they looked with the outfit. Just on a whim, I plopped this bear hat on top of the outfit and I just thought it made the whole thing look so adorable. So, I went with it. :P I also loved the mix of deep burgundy and burnt orange. The "top" I'm wearing is actually a vintage dress. You can see the full dress here.
I'm quite fond of mixing warm and cool colours, so I hope you enjoy the palette in this outfit. Cheers! <3
