Quirky like a mofo, today. Haha. My partner and I had a lot of shopping to do. I hate shopping. I dislike the crowds and long lines that are symptomatic of the XMAS season. I knew I was in for a very long evening and I didn't even want to go anywhere. I just wanted to stay home and binge watch MI:5 on Netflix. I'm in the middle of watching it for the second time and it's pretty sweet, yo. Hmm..where was I? Oh, yeah. Shopping. Feh. So, I literally (and somewhat defiantly) threw on what you see before you.
For once, I tried to dress in a way that demonstrated the opposite of what I was actually feeling. Heh. So, I piled on the bright colors and cute prints. Polka dots, snowflakes, elk, carrots, rabbits. It's all here, bros. This is your one-stop shop of weirdness. :D At least, I found an excuse to wear my forest green corduroy jeans. I thrifted them during a trip to Austin and they're fantastic. When I picked them up and found the tags still on them, I died a little inside. These deserve to be well worn. I guess my problem is that I obsess about how to wear things (even more since I've apparently decided to publicly display my outfits week to week). So, I find myself thinking very carefully about how I wear certain pieces.
Which is a good thing, I guess? Right....? Haha. Looking your best should always be a top priority. The downside is that, in my case, I'll think things over so much that I'll decide not to wear something until I can do it real justice. So, that thing, whatever it is, might not get worn for awhile, unfortunately.
Anyway, check out this rabbit sweater! o_O I became obsessed with it as soon as I laid eyes on it. I was approached by an on-line clothing company called, TrendyFine. A representative asked if I would be willing to do a fashion collaboration. I checked out the website and honestly, I wasn't sure about it.
The site looked too new, if that makes sense? Like it hadn't been around for awhile. Their Facebook page is new, also. Since, I didn't have to provide anything other than a shipping address, I decided I'd give them a shot. The products they offer are very similar to what you'll find at Chicwish, ASOS, Romwe, etc. However, the prices are slightly more competitive. I was told that I could pick something out to style and they would send it to me. So, when I saw this sweater, I immediately went for it.
It took about three weeks for the sweater to arrive and it was well packaged. I didn't get a return receipt or anything like that with the package, however. The material of the sweater is quite nice. Soft and cozy. There were more loose threads than I cared for, though. I think with a lot of wear, the stitching will start to give way in some places. The rabbit sweater comes in two sizes: small and medium. I ordered the medium and it fits true to size. It isn't tight around my hips and I'm 36 inches. I have pretty long arms and the wrists actually hit me at the right place. The overall style and print are true to the product photo.
I got so many compliments and stares from wearing this sweater. :P It's super cute and unique. I'm very happy to have it! I have to say that I don't really know much more about TrendyFine, other than what I've just told you. So, I can't speak about their customer service, the check-out process or returns and exchanges. If you like this sweater, though, and you have PayPal, then I'd say go for it. :D If something weird goes down or things don't meet your expectations, you'll have the buyer protections.
So, yeah. Hehe. That's my mini TrendyFine shopping review. I hope you like this quirky ensemble. ^_^ Even though I dislike holiday shopping, wearing this outfit really brightened my spirits. <3
