I'm baaaaaaaack! :D I have to say, it feels good to be able to respond to comments and read everyone's blogs, again. The most painful part of my trip was having to watch my unread Bloglovin' posts steadily grow to a rather scary number. Haha. I was really starting to freak out. o_O O_o
Again, I sincerely apologize for my abundant silence over the last week and a half. I read all of your comments and many of them made me laugh. Some of them made me smile and a few made me go "awww." Hehe. I had very little downtime during the trip. It really felt like go-go-go most of the time (and that's a good thing, by the way!), but I snuck in a few blog comments for some of you when I could. Anyway, I'm so happy to take some time this weekend to catch up on everything I've missed! <3
The wedding was a blast and I loved every minute of every day I spent in Austin. I decided to put together a little Instagram photo collage of my trip for those of you who may be curious. Some of these photos will be familiar to my Instagram followers, but I also added newer material, so check it out! :P
Lots and lots of vintage and thrift shopping! I picked up a total of three pairs of corduroy pants, a plaid shirt and a belt. I know, it doesn't seem like much, but I was actually trying to restrain myself. Haha. :D
I did quite a bit of sightseeing from visiting Mount Bonnell (top right and middle photos) and hanging out at Barton Springs (bottom left), to seeing the majestic flight of bats under South Congress Bridge (bottom right) and listening to exquisite jazz at the Elephant Room (last photo).
Of course, we could not visit Austin without tasting the local food! Austin tacos are the best in the nation! Yeah, that's right, I said it! I love that you can get a breakfast taco at any time of the day. <3
I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by the craft beer selection at the many brew pubs I visited. As a bit of a beer connoisseur, I found myself giving Austin my stamp of approval. Haha. It was a great trip!
