Hi! :D So, I wanted to look retro, modern and futuristic all at the same time. This is what I came up with! There's just something about crisp white juxtaposed with inky black hues that excites me. Hehe.
You might remember the kick ass vintage white blouse from this post. I decided to show it off a bit more, instead of just highlighting the collar (which is a frequent tendency). It looks big on me, because it *is* big. Heh. It's the equivalent of a modern size large. Of course, I didn't care about the size when I saw the beautiful, intricate details in the fabric. I also knew that the arm holes would be quite large after having the sleeves professionally removed. A minor inconvenience, at best. Heh. Still totally worth it!
The blouse gave the outfit a nice vintage touch, as did the wingtip oxford booties. The high low black skirt added drama through movement. I love when the wind catches it! As I'm fond of playing around with shapes, I wore my suspenders on a single shoulder. I liked the resulting segmented look.
Tidbit: My partner wanted to go downtown to buy fries after these photos were taken. Yeah. He had a hankerin'. So, just picture me at a Five Guys counter ordering fries to go. Haha. Good times. >=]~
