You guys! It was actually warm enough for bare ankles! Omg omg omg <3 35 degrees never felt so good. Haha. There were puddles everywhere. The official first day of Spring was last Thursday, so yeah. I hope the snow keeps melting! I can't wait to see budding leaves on the trees. ^_^

The high waisted corduroys are the only new thing I'm wearing. I got them from my clothing swap group earlier in the year. You probably already know this, but I'm obsessed with corduroy. Dresses, pants, blazers, whatever. If it's corduroy, I want it. Right now, I have grey, purple, green and brown corduroy pants. I really want navy, pumpkin orange and maybe white. White pants kinda scare me. Hehe.

The rest of the outfit is the product of remixing. I'm trying not to buy any new clothes. So, I find myself trying to figure out how to wear things multiple ways without looking like a hobo. Haha. It's challenge, but I'm enjoying it! ^_^ My goal is to continue the spending freeze for the entire year, so wish me luck!

The studded loafers are pretty rad. I haven't worn them since last Summer. Click here to see how I styled them back then. I wanted the outfit to have a menswear feel to it and I think the loafers worked in combination with the coat and fedora to make that happen. I'm glad it was warm enough to wear them!

I'm obsessed with figuring out optimal color pairings with regard to different shades of the same hue. So, that's why I'm wearing grey pants and a grey coat together. :P I found the light and dark greys to be aesthetically pleasing. I'm currently tinkering with different shades of red. We'll see how it goes. ;D

I cherish this vintage wool Eddie Bauer sweater. <3 The farm animal scene is just too adorable! There are small holes in some parts of the fabric, but the copyright on the tag reveals that this baby is from 1987, so I think it has held up well, all things considered. Hey! Thanks, man! Yeah, they're pretty rad! I have so many shoes and garments that I haven't been able to wear because of the cold and I'm just itching to break them out! We're in the rainy season now, but I don't mind as long as the temperatures keep rising. Hehe. I'm sooo ready to be done with the cold! >_<

All the soft hues in this are wonderful. All the different textures really make it interesting.

Send some of that weather up here would you? It is still -5C and with the wind feels more like -15C.

Aww, man! That sucks! It has been known to be bitingly cold up here through mid-May, so I kind of feel your pain. I feel like our winters keep getting longer and longer and Spring and Fall are much too short. :/

This outfit is adorable and the colour combinations are beautiful. I love corduroy too though I don't have much of it at the moment. It's sort of like velvet, which I also love.

Velvet, yes! <3 I only have one velvet garment and that's a pair of red pants I thrifted way back. I'd love to have a velvet dress or pinafore. I don't know if I could pull off velvet leggings, though. Hehe.

I'm so happy that spring is here, I was really starting to hate the cold weather :/ Though we are pretty lucky, we had a mild winter and only a few weeks of snow :) I am loving your outfit, those pants look amazing, I'm in love with high waisted pants <3

Me, too! Anything high waisted is golden for me, because of my height and my strange body proportions (i.e. small on top and curvy on the bottom). High waisted skirts/pants/shorts are somehow able to keep me modest by covering up areas that are typically exposed by mini skirts, booty shorts and low-riding jeans, but they also remain super sexy by showing more of your curves and by the fact they tend to be form fitting. So, it's the best of both worlds! :D

You know, I would have left that sweater on the rack, and I would have missed out b/c you make it look so cute with that lace collar. I'll never look at a vintage intarsia knitted sweater the same.

Rad! I'm always glad to hear when I've inspired people or changed their minds about something fashion wise. :DDD I've had the same experiences on other people's blogs. I'll see a sequin top, for example, one that I would just completely ignore at a store and the blogger incorporates that top into the most amazing outfit and all of a sudden I'm thinking that I need to add more sequins to my wardrobe. Haha. <3
