My partner surprised me with a picnic! :DDD Usually, I am the one to suggest such an activity and I had become accustomed to repeating this suggestion until the outing eventually took place. Haha. I've already talked about my obsession with this arguably useless activity and at great length. So, I won't bore you with an explanation. However, I *will* say that I couldn't help grinning ear to ear like a proper fool as I watched my partner load the trunk of the car with bags filled with mysterious deliciousness. :D
I had assumed that the day would be filled with the usual coffee shop loitering, errand running and whatnots. So, I already had this outfit picked out and ready from the day before. :P As it turns out, it ended up being a rather nice picnicking outfit. :D~ All I did was wear two dresses: a sleeveless blue floral dress and then a vintage polka dot shirt dress worn open and gathered with a belt. ^___^
The nice thing about this combination, aside from the fun mix in prints, is the illusion created by the different lengths of fabric. From the back view, all you see is a black dress with a waist belt. However, as soon as I turn around, huzzah! :D Where in the world did those bright florals come from? Hehe.
Maybe my partner could sense how stressed out and slightly miserable I had become over the past week. Sometimes, life has a way of really grinding you down. You know? =[ So, it was super nice of him to whisk me away to a quiet park to listen to music and take in a beautiful sunset with wine, four different cheeses, fruit and a baguette. It goes without saying that I'm a pretty lucky lady. <3 <3 <3
