Aww, yeah. Picnic time, bitches! >:D~ ~ I love a good picnic. I'm kind of obsessed with the notion of picnicking, actually. (Yes, that's a word. I promise!) I mean, let's face it. At its core, you're just lying around on a blanket, eating, drinking and generally doing nothing...outside. This is very important.

Being outside is crucial! Heh. I don't really believe that, just so you know. I've forced my partner into an indoor picnic, before. I made us lunch; put out a blanket in the living room right in front of the TV; cracked open some canned beers; and forced him to watch terrible film after terrible film.

It...was...glorious. <3 I can't even remember why we did that. Maybe it was raining outside or it was 1000 degrees or something. *shrug* I'll take any excuse, really. I wish I could better articulate why I love picnics so much. It's just..a feeling, you know? I always feel so relaxed and free when I'm on a picnic.

It's the one time that I can actually let go of everything. I'm the kind of person who has to be forced to take any kind of vacation and when I do, I don't feel like I'm on vacation until that point where it's time to leave. Haha. I basically need a 1-2 week adjustment period. A picnic is like an instant vacation, I guess.

A couple of years ago, I was on Amazon obsessing about picnics..Haha. Uhh, yeah and I found this awesome red plaid picnic blanket that has waterproof lining. It rains frequently during the summer over here, so we've come to appreciate that little design element. Also, it folds up neatly and it has an attached handle. ^_^ So, my partner carried that gem while I safe guarded our treasure: curry mayo tuna sandwiches (don't knock it 'til you try it!), Dale's Pale Ale and a ziplock bag of chips.

Yeah. Uh uh. Canned beer and ziplock bags. Classy like a motherf*cker. That's how I like to roll. Haha. Normally, I don't ask you guys a whole lot of questions and you don't have to answer if you don't want to, but I'm curious. Have you ever been on a picnic? If so, what kind of stuff do you like to bring? ^_^

I LOVE picnics too! I have yet to go on one this summer but I hope to drag my boyfriend out to one soon. I remember a couple of years ago, my mom and I helped set up a picnic for my boyfriend and my something-anniversary. It was supposed to be a surprise but I didn't tell my mom that. So when my boyfriend came to pick me up, she was like, "Ryan are you ready for the picnic?" Hahah she totally ruined the surprise but at least the picnic was yummy! I think I made us sandwiches, put fruit in there with chips and that wax-cheese stuff. Ryan didn't know how to eat the cheese because you have to peel it and I almost made him eat the wax! I'm terrible but we get a good laugh :)

Hahaha. Awww. That's so sweet! My first picnic wasn't without mishap, either. It's OK! We learn from those mistakes! I bet you're an expert level picnicker, now! :D <3

I have been a long lover and believer of the picnic. Especially since I have kids now. To take food outside is fun and an adventure for them and besides it means they can make 4 times the mess and it is perfectly fine. ;-) Love the polka dot skirt!

Picnics are HUGE here in Singapore! In fact, they even have this cute company that makes gourmet baskets that you can get delivered for a date. We always bring lots of cheese and cold cuts, crackers, fruit and wine. It sounds classy… but don't be fooled. There's no lady-like nibbling and sipping. I love the outfit, btw! The beer tee makes me laugh. Very cute look :)

You look lovely, so beautiful and this skirt is so sweet - I love red and polka dot! The top and beer :) is also cool! And the bag - picnic bag, in fact! Hahaha, I have never thought of a picnic indoors, and thanks to you I won't do it, cause it seems that it works better outdoors :) I agree with you about vacations :) When we have to leave I don't want to :0 well, it depends where I am :) I went to a picnic once. But I took a bus that took loger than I predicted and when I arrived food was cold, but please, I don't know why someone would take spaghetti to a picnic, instead of sandwiches? Anyway, that was what happened!

Umm.... how do you define picnic? Does eating outside count?! I do eat outside a lot (thanks, tramping!) but they're not really picnics per say. However, the idea of a picnic sounds lovely. Especially as we're in the depths of winter here at the moment!

LOL. Anyways, I love your picnic idea and shall have to endeavor to go on more!

Hehe, yeah. It kind of has to be a super lazy endeavor. Eating on the go (even in the wilderness) probably wouldn't count. ;) That being said, you have so many scenic areas where you are! I bet you could have some amazing picnics!

I love picnics too! I enjoy indoor picnics as well as outdoor ones. Picnic make eating an adventure I guess :'D
I tend to bring salads and sandwiches to picnics. Chocolate is lovely too... but when it melts... it's lethal D:

Yes- I love this! I have been living in the combo of a long skirt and comfy tee/tank so far this summer. What a great shirt. I'm jealous that it's picnic weather for you as it's pretty much 113º every day now so the only time outside has to be spent in water :) I saw a pic of the cutest vintage watermelon picnic basket that hopefully one day I will be lucky enough to thrift :)

GOing camping or at least a day int he mountains/nature is a pretty huge part of the culture here, so we just kind of grew up with picnics. Even in schools, quite often on nice days (as a rewards or end of year thing) they eat outside quite a bit or brown bag lunch it on a hike. As a kid they were always kind of unglamorous type of foods. Chips, a sandwich in a plastic bag. Eh. Typical kid food.

Nowadays, what I love to take is cold beers from local brewers, a baguette and cheese and sliced meats or hard salami. We have also gotten sandwiches from the deli if we are in a hurry.

I like how this very sweet and picnic-worthy skirt is made more adult and ironic with the T-shirt proclaiming "beer."
