Aww. I look so sad. Haha. *^_^* Before I get into the fashion stuff, I want to take a moment to reflect.
Around this time last year, I dealt with a lot of emotional stuff. Some of it concerned my sense of self and there were feelings of embarrassment and betrayal that I thought I'd never get over at the time.
Well, it's one year later and I'm proud to announce that I'm still standing. Haha. I bounced back and I would be lying if I said that the support of my readers over that difficult time period had no bearing on my recovery. Valentine's Day will be so much better this year, because of you! Thank you! <3
OK. Enough of that business. Back to regularly scheduled programming! :D So, this outfit is almost completely recycled and I'm always happy when this happens. ^_^ I'm wearing only one new item (which I absolutely love!), so this post should go fairly quickly. You'll remember this wonderful vintage sweater from this previous post. At that time, I played around with a grandma chic look. Haha. This time, I decided to wear the sweater in a manner that is a bit edgy and a little more sophisticated.
As I put the outfit together, I found myself gravitating toward dark hues and this didn't sit well with me. The black canvas really brings out the colors in the sweater, but I didn't want the outfit to be consumed by darkness. >_< So, I added a bright blue bag and my new red velvet jeans as a bright finishing touch.
I scored the velvet skinnies from my clothing swap group. They're the first (and only) pair of red pants that I own. I wasn't sure about how I would feel about them at first. Bright colors are a challenge for me believe it or not! I'm still getting used to seeing myself in the jeans, but I do like their color and texture.
Ok, here's a big smile for ya. Haha. :D And that's that! This outfit is super simps, dudes. Like super simple and boring. Hehe. I gotta do a boring one every now and again, though. Just keepin' it real and whatnots. Haha. Oh, by the way, my partner and I are going to see a play tomorrow night! Squee! I'm so excited. ^_^ I love theater! Always have. <3 I hope you all have a wonderful Valentine's Day!
