Aww yeah. ^_^ This post is a fun one! I feel like I've been giving into my introspective and kind of dark side lately, so I wanted to do something energetic and whimsical, but still classy and cute. As you can see, I did some very simple layering with a bright red romper (which you may remember from this previous post), a thrifted striped sweater and my trusty black cardigan. I added my rather pathetic DIY experiment from earlier this year hehe along with my favorite satchel bag, black tights and ankle boots.
The one item that really brings this outfit together, though, is the vintage (faux) fur hat! It's sooo soft and warm. It covers my ears completely and the inside consists of soft satin material so the hat keeps my ears comfortable and toasty. You may notice from the photos that it juts out a bit at the front. That protrusion will be handy in drizzling rain and snow! This hat is available for purchase on Etsy! Score!
I loved every minute of wearing this outfit. It was so fun! ^_^ I felt a bit like Jamiroquai with the fur hat, but with all of the colors combined I couldn't help but think of the Queen's Guard in London. Hence, the name of today's post and this playful salute. What a way to start the week! Haha. Have a great day! :P
