This is the best shirt I've ever thrifted. :D Oh, yes. I've had this shirt for over six years! I was shopping with my mom in another state and picked it up for like $3 or something. I would find it hard to believe that those of us who grew up in the 90's don't recall The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. I used to watch this show every evening after getting home from school (along with Inspector Gadget and Batman heh).
All you have to do is just look at the logo and hilarious memories from the show just come flooding back. :P~ So, I went with a minimalist look here, because the real star of this outfit is the t-shirt. All of a sudden, I'm thankful for this made-up challenge. Haha. Without it, this rare nostalgic gem would have remained buried under other shirts in my closet. Now, I feel motivated to show it off more often! :P
You've probably noticed that I'm wearing sunglasses. Yes. It is rare. Why? I don't freakin' know. Haha. I really don't. I'm trying to change that, though. I mean, it IS summer after all! This is the one time of year when people are expected to strut their stuff in sunglasses. :P So, I decided to update my collection since I'm not really a fan of the ones I've got right now (which is probably why you don't see me wearing many of them hehe). I got these retro flip sunglasses from zeroUV. It just so happens that they go perfectly with the theme of this t-shirt challenge. I love these a lot! I'll do a zeroUV review regarding my shopping experience in my next post, since I made another purchase and it hasn't arrived, yet. :D
As you can see, I wore the plaid top from this previous post, but simply tucked it in and allowed only bits of the sleeves to show. Then I finished off the look with my thrifted black/white gingham shirt dress and simply tied it around my waist for the ultimate 90's look. Hehe. I know I said "minimalist look" up there, right? This is my idea of "minimalist." Gingham and plaid. Haha. I'm a little insane, I guess. I just wanted to draw attention to the awesome Fresh Prince logo. Mission accomplished methinks. :D Hehe.
I'm also sporting my high waisted spiked shorts from Forever 21. I'm loving the HELL out of these, you guys! I expected the spikes to be janky and fall off after one wear. However, I subjected the shorts to my normal abuse and they held up. I can't wait to do more styles with these! They r0x0r. <3
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! <3
