Well, this is awkward. o_O O_o Where's all the snow?! Lqtm. I've been asking myself this question for quite awhile now. I literally watched the snow totally melt away in 24 hours. It was a rather balmy 46F / 7C when these photos were taken. The sun even made an appearance briefly before succumbing to the onslaught of grey clouds which ended up bringing intermittent light rain later in the evening.
It felt a lot more like late March / early April than the end of January, let me tell you. It kind of upset me, to be completely honest. I mean, come on, Gaia. Make up your mind! One minute I'm getting frost bite and the next I'm showing off my bare midriff. Haha. Gaia, you've got a lot of explaining to do!
Well, at any rate, the nice weather couldn't have arrived at a better time as I'm working with my first sponsor since returning to the world of blogging last Fall. The crop top and high waisted leggings are from my sponsor, Tobi. They were kind enough to let me pick out several items, but under the condition that they could choose what I would ultimately receive. I had picked out quite a few cold weather items and some accessories, so I was expecting maybe a sweater or a coat. Turns out, it would have been much too warm for me to wear anything like that. I started sweating as soon as I left the house.
This weather is effing ridiculous! Clearly, I'm fed up with it and apparently, so are my socks. Haha. They were a parting gift from a dear friend before I moved away to the land of poutine and maple syrup.
I happen to like the additional splash of colour they give the outfit as well as that extra bit of sass. ;D
Needless to say, it was a perfect afternoon for a stroll to get some lunch and a bit of coffee. I ended up getting sprinkled on just a bit along the way and there was a pretty cold wind that decided to make an appearance, so a warm beverage was just what the doctor ordered. :P On the off chance that you like the top and bottom I'm wearing and you want some more details: Both pieces are mediums. They're a bit slinky in texture, soft and stretchy. I think I could have worn a small in either garment, but I decided to size up just in case they shrink a bit after washing. No loose threads.
