Yet another remixed outfit. *^_^* I suspect that you'll be seeing quite a few of these before the year is out. I really haven't been spending much money on new clothes, since the end of my year long spending freeze. I'm anticipating having to pack up shop and move overseas, since I've just started to apply for teaching jobs at foreign universities. I doubt that I'll be able to bring everything I have in my closet. If anything, I'll have to get rid of a lot more stuff. So, the shopping sprees are on hold. Hehe.
The high waisted corduroy shorts are one of my absolute favorites. I know you've seen me wear them a ton of times on the blog. I've been tinkering with blue monochromatic outfits and when I paired the sky blue fennec fox tee with the shorts, I loved the results. ^_^ Unfortunately, the shades of blue had to stop there. Hehe. I'll work on doing a completely blue outfit in the future (and hopefully not end up looking like a smurf in the process...haha). This time, I simply added a mix of dark and light browns to compliment and frame the outfit. In so doing, I added color contrast without being overpowering.
By my standards, this is a very simple outfit, but it still has a lot of interesting tidbits. The light and dark blues are pleasing to the eye; the wingtip oxfords and vintage trilby add subtle masculine elements; while the penny farthing necklace and fox tee add a soft, light-hearted feel. It was the perfect outfit to wear for a day of outdoor brunching and coffee shop loitering. :DDD Hope you like it! <3 <3 <3
