Hello, hello. <3 ^_^ <3 If you're a stickler for details, you are in for a treat! I'm afraid that I chose some very light fabrics and that, plus amateur photography skills, leaves this photo washed out. >_< Don't worry, though, bros! I have many close ups of buckles, scallops, pleats, lace, tassels and more! :P
Ahhh, where to begin? Let's start with what I did on top. I took a sleeveless navy blue top with a pink collar and layered a beautiful mixed pattern blouse over it. I only wanted the pink collar, you see, but I also got the added bonus of highlighting the block of sheer fabric in the blouse. The blouse is so special in my eyes, because of the crinkled, delicate fabric; the mix of stripes with different widths; the mixed lace patterns in the middle and the finely trimmed mandarin collar. Best thrift find ever! <3
The darling vintage pleated skirt is another fantastic thrift find from last year. I had to get it tailored when it arrived, because the waist was too loose and I wanted to wear it high waisted. By the time I got around to getting it cinched, it was too cold to wear it. =[~ So, I've been waiting and waiting to wear this beauty. Finally, the day arrived! ^_^ It's so girly with its soft pastel floral print, but I love it. Can't help it.
Sometimes, you just fall in love and you can't explain why you feel the way that you do. That's how I feel about this skirt. :P I must divide my affection and shower this hot air balloon necklace with warm fuzzies, as well. :D I couldn't resist adding it to the outfit, because it has the perfect pastel colors in it. Maybe that means I'm being match-matchy or whatever, but I'll take any excuse to wear this necklace. It's so delicate that I'm always worried about breaking it. As result, I've worn it sparingly. :F The craftsmanship and the attention to detail are impressive. Can you see the jewels above the basket?
I was going to wear a brown bag, but I feel like I wear brown and black bags really often. Maybe too often. The thing is, I only have a handful of colorful bags and I only have maybe a dozen handbags total. I know. What the f*ck kind of woman, am I? Unbelievable. Heh. The thing is, I *want* more colorful bags. I would love to have that variety, but I just don't have a lot of disposable income, at the moment.
I need to spend money on other things, so I just have to make do with what I have. If wearing the same bag in every other style post annoys you, you'll just have to be annoyed. I'm not going to apologize for not having a lot of money and lots of bags. That would be dumb and it would legitimize materialism.
At any rate, I think the white satchel worked out better. It brightened up the outfit a bit more and it added even more details with the circular metal accents, buckles and scallops. I really love this bag. ^_^
Finally, we reach my unusually large feet which I managed to stuff into a beautiful pair of perforated wingtip loafers that are adorned with tassels. :DDD Oh and I should mention that my navy pea coat has burnished buttons with anchors engraved into them! I should have gotten some pictures of those nautical bits, but I completely forgot. Bah! >_< Anyway, I hope you like the outfit! See you! <3
