Sports! F*ck yeah! >:D~ Hehe. I don't know why that generic statement tickles me so much, but it does. I guess it's because I've never been the kind of person to get wrapped up in watching competitive sports. I grew up in Texas, so you would think that I was all about football games and tailgating.
Nope. None of that ever interested me. I played basketball in high school, but only because I was basically goaded into it. When you're taller than all the dudes in your class, I guess people start to assume that you're good at sports? I f*cking sucked at basketball. I could barely dribble and, although I scored here and there, I do remember this one time that I scored for the away team at a home game. Hahaha. Holy Zeus. Embarrassing. I have long, lanky monkey arms, so naturally people tried to get me to play softball, but after that basketball debacle, I decided to quit while I was behind. Hehe.
The only thing I was ever really good at was running and long jump. I specifically enjoyed the 50 meter dash and 4 x 100 meter relay. Nothing really excited me or interested me as much as running. There's just something about relying on the strength of your own body to get you through. I never felt more alive than when I was neck and neck with someone while heading for the finish line and gripping a baton.
Hence, I largely ignore the Olympics, except for the races. I admit, the one time I'm actually glued to the TV for a sport is when it's a foot race. ;) It takes me back to a time in my life when I felt like I could actually do something. Yep. There's some trivia about my life for ya. Hope you liked the outfit, too! :P
