It was so cold, I couldn't feel my face and my fingers were numb, even though I was wearing two pairs of gloves (hence my rather plump digits lqtm). T_T There was a cold advisory and many outdoor events that had been scheduled for that night had been cancelled. So, yeah. It was a serious weather situation.
Yet, here I am. Outside. Why? >_< Haha. Well, because it was the weekend and I had felt really cooped up in the apartment. I study basically 45 to 50 hours each week. That doesn't leave a whole lot of time for, you know, being outside and all that. Heh. So, when I have the time to spare, I try to take advantage of it. By the time we arrived at our brunch spot (one of my favorite vegan restaurants in town), my eyes hurt. I thought they might pop out or something. Haha. So, of course I ordered the pumpkin hot toddy with the top shelf whiskey, because by Zeus I had f*cking earned it! Should have ordered two! >:P
At any rate, we had a rad breakfast and then hit up the booze store on the way back for a nice red wine. We had half a pack of some mulled wine mix that I just didn't have the heart to leave behind when we moved. We had given our downstairs neighbors all kinds of food and even gave away a lot of our alcohol (I was quite sad to part with the latter, let me tell you heh), but the mulled wine mix went with us.
We walked as fast as we could back home and I felt like an ice sculpture by the time we made it inside the apartment. So, when my partner handed me a large steaming mug of mulled wine, it was the best, most delicious, most soothing experience of my life. T_T Haha. It made the whole ordeal worth it. <3
