Hence, I realize that I don't have much variety other than occasional sales alerts, intermittent style advice and a shameless plug here and there. Hehe. Yeah, this part of the internets is mostly about me and what I wear and I realize this can be kind of exhausting. I figured it was time to take a break from the style posts. So, I wanted to do something different and share a bit more of my personal life with you guys. I'm a visual person, so I decided to use photos. Many, but not all, are from my Instagram. ^_^

In typical nerd fashion, I have a periodic table of elements shower curtain in our bathroom (which I bought for my partner as a birthday gift, but let's be real - it was for me haha) and I have an entire wall in our living room dedicated to Mega Man. It's pretty extensive and it actually wraps around a bit to an adjacent wall, but I couldn't get a decent full shot. I also put together poster boards full of stuff that I gathered from my years of travel (tickets, fliers, posters, photos, cards, etc) and made them into wall hangings. If you find yourself with a ton of stuff in scrap books, try displaying them on the wall, instead!
Many of you probably already gleaned this as regular readers of my blog, but I'm addicted to Sunday brunch. It started about 5 years ago when my partner and I moved into our first apartment together. I had just graduated from law school and he drove all the way from Texas (with all of this stuff) to be with me. Luckily, he already had a job lined up. I, on the other hand, was filling out job applications for hours and hours each day for weeks. It was a tough time economically. My partner worked really hard at his new job and I was so busy with job hunting that, for a time, we didn't really get to enjoy being together.
I had been living in this city for 3 years, but I didn't get to enjoy it very much while I was in law school. My partner had visited me several times over the years, but the city was still new to him. Basically, there was a lot for us to explore and do and we just weren't doing anything. One Sunday morning, my partner suggested that we go for brunch. I looked up some brunch places that were highly rated and that neither one of us had been to, we picked one and from that point on, it became something that we did together every week. So, even if we were too busy to enjoy each other's company in the middle of the week, there would always be this one day that was just for the two of us, if that makes any sense?
I have a cat, ya'll! :D Her name is Bonaparte and she's a Maine Coon. We rescued her in September 2013 and she has been a ray of sunshine in our home ever since. She has a furry tail; she loves to play fetch; and every morning at 6 AM she chirps and howls outside of our bedroom until one of us comes out to greet her. Haha. We tried having her sleep in the room with us, but she is prone to chewing and scratching things (including my nice clothes), so she has to sleep in her cat bed in the living room, for now. We weren't sure how old she was when we got her, but we think she's just over a year old, now.
Oh that's just me and my Player Two, Colin. :D We like nerdy Threadless tees, apparently. Haha. The left photo is from our trip to Canada (Ottawa to be exact) and the one on the right is from Amsterdam.
Finally, I thought it would be fun to show you guys some outfits that I've worn that didn't make it to my blog. As I've said in the past, I try to edit myself and be honest about which outfits are interesting enough to be featured. The ones you see here didn't make the cut for various reasons. I still like to keep a photographic journal of my outfits, though. I keep the photos so I can improve the outfits later. :P

And that's that! If you found this post painful, you should know that I probably won't do these often. So, you can find some measure of solace in that. Haha. I will nevertheless try to do more non-outfit related posts, because I realize that seeing style posts exclusively can be pretty boring and I want my readers to have fun when they visit. So, please bear with me and thank you for your kindness as always! <3
