If you've never played kick ball in a tutu while spilling a beer running from base to base, you're missing out, brah. Hehe. I was on a beer league for a couple years and quite frankly, if you didn't dress up for a game, it was assumed that something was wrong with you. Haha. I would totally wear this outfit (sans cardigan, floral blouse and cute shoes) for a knock down, drag out game. ^_^ Also, this is not my cat. Heh. This cute furry feline decided that my photos would look a lot better with him/her (I didn't look that closely so I have no idea haha) in it. It just appeared out of some brush and rubbed my legs. :D
Gaaaaaah! >_< Kitty, can't you see I'm trying to take pictures, here?! OK, fine. I'll pet you. <3 Hehe.
What? Oh, yeah. I can totally strike a pose next to a cute cat. No worries, bro. I got this! *^___^*
With today's outfit, I decided to do just that with a quirky combination of casual and formal. If this outfit gives you weird feelings, just know that this is normal and also, that I have succeeded in what I set out to accomplish. Haha. If I garnered just one crooked smile from a passerby, then it was all worth it. ^_^
Oh, hey! Kitty decided to take a load off in some nearby tall grass. *Sniff* I miss cat bro, already. <3
It was date night, by the way! My partner made a dinner reservation and I had the bright idea to drop by the park to chronicle what I wore and then head over. It was a quick 15 minute ordeal as I'm not wearing a whole lot of layers (so there's no need to do any of the usual onion peeling hehe). I did remove the mixed pattern eyelet cardigan, though, just so you could see more of the Sports! t-shirt.
I liked the shirt because, for me, it's basically a play on your average type tee that says meaningless sh*t like "Bacon" or "College." Heh. I find it humorous, because it's making a rather useless and vague announcement. I guess the ironic hipster in me just couldn't help but love the sarcastic exclamation.
Why the floral blouse underneath? Wellllllll.... the thing is, I felt like the outfit needed something to definitively send it over the edge. The plain round neckline struck me as boring. I played around with different collars of various colors. Eventually, I settled on this black floral. I wanted the outfit to be fun, eclectic and a little off-beat. In that sense, I think the floral collar stands out in a good way. :D
I feel like I haven't worn this red buckled satchel in forever, probably because it HAS been quite awhile. Click here to see another quirky outfit with which I wore this bag back in February. As I've mentioned in the past, I have to make a conscious decision to wear bright colors. It's so easy for me to go for a brown or black bag, because those colors go with just about anything. Red, on the other hand, makes things a bit tricky, at least for me. Hehe. I think this particular color nicely compliments the outfit.
Jumping shots are so friggin' difficult, so I don't do them often. I have to say, I really like this one, though! It's like I'm some kind of levitating ballerina. Hehe. OK, I'll stop talking at you now. *^_^*
