I just noticed that I'm not wearing a single piece of jewelry. Haha. That is actually a normal state of affairs for me. Sometimes, a particular outfit just requires jewelry and in that case, I typically already have the item(s) in mind when I'm crafting the outfit. In all other cases, if I don't remember to put on a bauble or two, I just go without. I didn't even think to put on a watch since I had my cell phone. Heh.

Anyway, hey! Check out this awesome romper I thrifted! It's American Apparel brand and actually one size too small for me. I'm usually a medium in rompers, but I couldn't pass this up. It's the first romper I've ever owned. :DDD It's adjustable, but even at the longest adjustment, it's a tad snug in the hip area.

For my first romper style, I went with my favorite cherry print blouse. I've had this top forever, but I only wore it once before today. I think I had worn it with a pencil skirt for work or something. It's kind of a dressy top, so I wear it sparingly. I'm still figuring out how to wear it in a more casual way. :P

Here is a ukelele cover of one of my favorite songs. I hope to be able to play it on my uke someday without messing up! Enjoy! This guy is really, really good! It's my partner's birthday tomorrow, so I'm taking him out to celebrate. I also have special weekend plans involving this picnic basket!

I love giving gifts (more than receiving them), so I'm super stoked! :D I'll probably Instagram a few pictures here and there, so if you're curious you can just silently stalk my account! Hehe ^_^

I'm teaching myself how to play the uke and it...hasn't been going...well. Haha. (>_<) I'm easily distracted, but when I do manage to focus, I find myself practicing until my fingers hurt. It has been a rather intermittent endeavor, but I'm determined to get better! In this photo, I decided to take a stab at playing and singing. Luckily, you can't hear. Haha. :D I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! <3

These pictures are so pretty! The red and green together with the black tights is something I never would have thought of, but it looks so sharp and colorful. Very evocative of....what, I'm not sure, but something delicious (I agree with the watermelon comment!)

Yay for thrifted! Anything that's thrifted is gold in my opinion. I love it. LOVE IT. Red is such a fantastic color for you, dear. And the fit is great. ;)

look at you, all ukulele with your bad self. I know what you mean about your fingers hurting. I play piano, dabble in violin, and play the uke but there is nothing quite like the pain of picking up a fresh string instrument and learning to play it -- for me, it's the acoustic guitar. Kills my friggin hands every time.

You've got me hooked on your blog with this post. I absolutely ADORE this outfit. I'm a big fan of bright colors, especially ones that don't "go together". Also, I cannot believe that you thrifted that romper. Such an amazing find.
