Getting into the holiday spirit or whatever, today. Heh. Sooo, what lies underneath the red plaid toggle coat could turn this outfit into an eyesore, but uhhh yeah. I think I'm OK with that state of affairs. Hehe.
After all of the relatively safe color blocking that I'd been doing lately, it felt good to do a good old fashioned pattern mash up. :DDD This is a simple outfit, but with four very distinct patterns at play.
Awww yeah. Look at that awesomeness, right there. Hehe. So, we've got three different types of plaid. There's the red/black plaid from the coat and then the two different plaids from the reversible scarf.
I tried to wrap the scarf in such a way that there would be a good view of both patterns. I think the white and red plaids look great with the coat closed. <3 For a bit of a sneak attack, though, I wore a vintage blue/green tartan blazer underneath. >;D~ The result is a simple combo that's chock full of complexity.
It's hard to avoid looking like a frumptastic hobo in the winter. T_T I mean, sometimes, warmth has to take precedence over looking cute. With this outfit, though, I wanted to show that it's possible to be warm and still look like you haven't completely given up on life. Hahaha. Happy Holidays, you guys! <3
