This is just a really simple outfit that I had put together for grocery shopping. :3 It's a mostly thrifted outfit with the exception of the purple/red polka dot socks and the black vintage style backpack.
I feel like this is basically an "off-day" outfit for me, but I still found people staring at me a lot at the store. >_< Is this too dressed up for grocery shopping? I dunno. Haha. People routinely confound me.
Anyway, to keep the outfit from being utterly soporific, I wore the jazzy striped turtleneck and added the subtle stereo pendant for a little quirkiness. :P I've had the turtleneck foreeeeever, by the way.
I think this is probably my second time wearing it, though. Also, it's the first time I've actually blogged about it. I need to wear it so much more, because it's rad. I feel so retro every time I put it on. Hehe. <3
I decided to go with the vintage-y backpack rather than a handbag, because it's always nice to have your hands free when you're shopping. That giant box of cat litter isn't going to put itself in that shopping cart! Heh. Also, I know that I run the risk of being "matchy-matchy" with the socks, but I really, really like them. For me, the red micro dots are a delicious subtlety, even if most people can't even see them. ;D
If this post isn't terribly exciting, I apologize. Haha. Despite popular belief, I am actually quite boring. ;)
