Taking a stab at wearing a white dress *and* not putting anything over it. I always feel so exposed when I wear just one item of clothing and nothing else. >_< Also, I apologize if this is plain vanilla weak sauce. Haha. I have to try to be "normal" every so often. I'll do something insane, next week. ;P~

Incidentally, this thrifted Zara dress is the only new thing that I'm wearing. It's simple in construction and I like that. I feel like every girl should have at least one easy-to-wear white dress for summer. *^_^*

To make things just a liiiiiitle bit less boring, hehe, I put some flowers on my hat. :D I just didn't quite feel like doing the crown of flowers in my hair. I figured putting them on my hat would have the same effect.
I did end up getting some compliments on it and one person thought the flowers were part of the hat. Hehe. Overall, this was just a simple, comfortable outfit for coffee and crepes at an outdoor cafe. <3

I am totally loving simple, basic, monochromatic looks at the moment - so this is right up my alley! But to top it off, you are wearing an utterly fabulous hat. Perfect, lovely summer outfit!

Hehe. Thanks! I dunno. Maybe the apology is more for me than the audience. I guess a part of me feels like I could have done more with this outfit, but I just wanted to try to avoid giving in to that part of myself. :F

No- I love this! I really think the structure and collar on this dress keeps things from feeling boring. Instead, it seems bold to let the structure take center stage that way.

I never understood why vanilla is considered plain. Vanilla beans are damn delicious. And potent! Sometimes less is more, just like this outfit. Love the blinding white after Labor Day - screw the rules. ;)

Hehehe. It's all a matter of taste (pun totally intended, oh yeah! :D). Seriously, though. I really think that it's up to the person. I mean, vanilla on its own is quite delicious. If you're the kind of person who craves complexity, *points at self* *ahem,* then vanilla appears to be missing something. Let's put some chocolate syrup and sprinkles on that bitch. >:D Like I said, just a matter of taste. Hehe.

Sooooo, the whole not wearing white after Labor Day...it probably won't surprise you that this didn't even cross my mind. Haha. I can't believe this is a rule. I had to look it up! I learned something. Apparently, it has historical significance. Labor Day was supposed to mark the official end of summer and therefore people would start wearing Fall/Winter colors instead of Summer colors, such as white. I still don't get it, to be honest. Haha. However, from what I gather, this practice is quite anachronistic, nowadays. It's so damn hot in September and even October, that it's not feasible to draw a clean demarcation between seasons. Hell, we've gotten rain and cold winds in August! So, the only people who adhere to this rule are probably old people. :3

Still, I have to wonder about how many arbitrary fashion rules there are, because that one is truly in the realm of the bizarre. You can't wear a certain color after a certain day?! Haha. And people actually adhere to the rule as if it were a law that could be broken?

I liked the "only one piece clothing" :) A very beautiful dress and I loved the necklace! I also liked the flowers on the hat and I think you look beautiful! Really, the dress is a gem, I loved it!
