I've got so many new things to share! Super stoked! Also, I need to apologize for these photos. It was getting dark, so the lighting is wonky. I was using my tripod and it was windy. Look at that choppy water, bro! >_< So, admittedly, I just wanted to take these really fast and then be on my merry way to the old java hut. Once again, I take one for the team in the name of fashion. Haha. Alright, let's get to it! ^_^
You may have noticed a cute little fox head peeking out of my coat in the first photo. Here's the full fox in all her glory! :D I received the scarf as a gift from Foxtales Boutique on Etsy. It's handmade to order; lined with soft fleece (my neck was so nice and warm thank you orange fox! ^_^); comes in different colors; and it's long enough to wrap in a variety of ways. The shop is based in Austin, Texas and the owner sells much more than scarves. You should totally stop by the Etsy shop and look around!
Admittedly, I wasn't sure how the scarf would hold up. It's very lightweight and I'm more of a thick knit scarf kinda gal. I live in the Midwest and it gets deathly cold in January/February. So, I figured I'd only really be able to wear the scarf in the Spring. However, I've worn it a few times prior to this and I find it warmer than some of my thickest scarves. I'm really impressed (and happy that I get to wear it through March/April!). It arrived beautifully packaged, also! I think this scarf would make a great gift. I love it!
I received the beautiful dark green coat through my clothing swap group. It is ModCloth's Love You For-evergreen Coat by Knitted Dove. It's so wonderful and one of my more expensive coats. I traded a dark olive Steve Madden military coat for it. I loved that military coat and it was brand new, but it happened to be one size too big for me. I'm happy with this replacement! The buttons are my favorite!
The hand knit wrist warmers came from my swap group, also. ^_^ Admittedly, they're not that warm on their own. They're definitely more appropriate for Spring. So, I simply wore black gloves underneath.
The star of the show, if I may, is this beautiful multi-color ModCloth dress! It was called the Foliage Tour dress on the website and I had been pining after it for awhile before I finally got it. The colors are fantastic. It is the quintessential Fall dress and, of course, it is one size too small for me. >_<
