Optical Illusion

I felt like I had been wearing a lot of neutrals and earth tones, lately. So, here's a burst of color to make up for it. Hehe. :D I'm a big fan of mixing patterns and bold colors (though, I am far from an expert when it comes to execution). As always, I just try to do my best. I really think I did OK with this one. :P

All I did was wear a vintage plaid shirt dress and then layer a vintage plaid skirt over it. :D The dress is really long. Click here to see a better view of it. I just tucked it into some shorts to keep it from poking out at the hem. Then I added some neutral colored accessories for balance and that's it. ^_^

I really liked wearing this crazy, colorful combo. The juxtaposition of ruffles and pleats; the mix of six different colors and the clash of differently sized patterns resulted in a joyous spectacle. <3

Oh wow! The colors on the skirt and dress are so darn close, you'd never know they were separates (well 1 a dress and 1 a skirt hehe)!! What luck! You look so great in bright colors and that boombox necklace is the perfect accessory with this! It's a total fun vibe!
