Nowhere To Go But Up

Happy first week of June! :DDD Summer is almost here. Omfg. <3 I'm super stoked to stick to my couch and to wonder aloud whether hell really is a place on Earth. Heh. Frigid mornings and cold nights will soon be the stuff of dreams. Hence, I'm grinning like an idiot. Nowhere to go from here, but up. ^_^

I wonder if I'll ever get to take a ride in an actual hot air balloon, someday. I bet there's somewhere around here where I could do that. I should look into it. For now, I'll just make do with this hot air balloon dress. :3 The first time I had worn it was last summer. I did a crazy thing and just wore the dress as-is with a pair of Converses. I hardly ever wear a dress without covering it up in some way.

This time, I tapped into my comfort zone and stuffed the dress into a pair of vintage shortalls. :DDD
I wanted people to think that I was wearing a playfully printed blouse and I think I managed to fool most people. The cute collar and hot air balloon pattern carry the outfit. It would be boring, otherwise, IMO.

I added a cute tassel handbag and my favorite vintage tassel loafers and that's that. :P The day these photos were taken, my partner and I were on our way to a nearby watering hole to quaff spirits and partake in lively conversation. I must say, happy hour is the greatest thing ever. Long may it live. <3

I would not have guessed that was a dress under there - very sneaky and great idea! Looks great, especially with those unexpected loafers. Temps are expected to go up here next week. I'm bracing myself. Gaaa.

Omg, love this outfit, the hairdo is my favorite though, you are looking so playful here, the red and denim really makes a striking combo!

Wow, it's a dress, I thought it was a blouse - you are so talented doing that, turning dresses into blouses and keeping them as dresses! It's amazing, well done! I loved the hot air balloon print, I like balloons, but never had the courage to ride one, or let's say, I have the courage but never really looked for that - you know, researching companies that do that, etc. Maybe one day. It must be cool and fun! I loved all you are wearing, the denim shortalls and especially the cute bag! I love bows! And yes, hell can a place on earth sometimes :) But we learn to avoid it, hahaha! I think you look super beautiful smiling and winter can wait! :)

I never would have guessed that there was a dress hiding under there, you pulled the look off SO well!
Looking forward to having chilly days be a thing of the past as well. It's been quite warm here in PA, but the last few days have been super chilly and rainy - UGH!
Also, I'm diggin' the tassel bag!

Same here! Lots of rain and cold winds. >_< It rained most of the month of June, last year. It was hot and muggy on top of that, too! I wouldn't mind if the same thing happened, this year, if the rain actually cools us off. Hehe. :P

Absolutely gorgeous!! I´m so in love with shortalls!! The dress is so beautiful, it is out of stock, if not, I think it would be in my wishlist for sure. I remember when you styled it with just a pair of converse and I loved it! :-)
