Right. So, this is the week where I get in touch with my inner mad woman and wear more or less upsetting outfits. Hehe. I wouldn't say this outfit is particularly upsetting. I think that the one I'm going to show you guys later in the week would best fit that category. >;D~ For this outfit, I'd say it probably made a bunch of people feel a bit shifty, at the very least. I did get some compliments on it, though!
As you can see, I was feeling lazy, so I just gathered my hair in a top knot. ;P This whale tee is one of my favorites and I hardly wear it, which is a shame. I wondered if I could make such a cute tee look edgy and I think I did an alright job. I really liked how it looked with the fish scale skirt and I added the cinnamon cardigan to frame the outfit with a warm autumn hue. It's actually starting to get cooler, so the cardigan totally came in handy. :D The brown boots added more depth of color and a little edginess. I topped everything off with the retro sunglasses and voila! I created a totally remixed outfit that is a little cute with a tough girl vibe and that probably made only a small number of people uncomfortable. >:D
The beautiful obelisk necklace is a gift from my sponsor, Happiness Boutique. Based in Berlin, they offer vintage style clothing and accessories. When they contacted me and asked if I'd like to work with them, I put them through the usual vetting process and I came across this video. It actually made me smile. Hehe. After watching it, I sent a reply and agreed to the partnership. They seemed like a cool company and all of their products looked like they were very well made. Now, as you know, I don't often wear jewelry and, when I do, I usually opt for more understated pieces. If you're the kind of person who likes bling, Happiness Boutique has some amazing jewels. I mean, large necklaces with a beautiful assortment of stones. I'm just not that kinda gal. So, I searched for the most understated, minimalist piece I could find and this necklace really stood out for me. I'm very happy with the craftsmanship.
The package took about two weeks to arrive from Germany and the necklace came in a really nice box. It was also enclosed in a mesh pouch bound by a ribbon. The box also contained a personalized card and a business card. Overall, I had a very good experience and I would do business with them, again.
Yep! Hope you like this mildly scary outfit. There's more weirdness on the way! Hehe. o_O <3
