I was determined to avoid wearing black. It's my favorite color and it's so easy to wear, but I really just wanted to pack in as many quintessentially Fall colors as I could into a single outfit. Mission complete!
The mixed pattern burgundy sweater is the newest addition to my wardrobe. I thrifted it from Black Market Vintage on Queen Street West. The shop is in a spacious basement and everything in the store is $10. I found that was a better deal for bulky sweaters than say, t-shirts, of which there were a crazy ton. Unfortunately, I didn't see too many things there that fit my style. I mean if you're into leather jackets, jeans jackets and band tees, then that's the place where you want to be. Hehe. I prefer vintage clothing of a quirkier variety, so the sweater is the only thing I bought apart from a new bow tie. :P I've always wanted a sweater in this deep plum color and I couldn't wait to pair it with the luscious carrot orange sweater skirt. I think it was a match made in heaven. The pattern play alone brings me joy. <3
I probably didn't need to wear socks and if I hadn't, I would have been perfectly color blocked, but I love the deep sea diver and jelly fish pattern. Also, I couldn't pass up another excuse to add even more colors to the outfit. :D The socks are knee highs, but I just rolled them down to look like ankle socks.
I added the yellow hobo bag for a nice bright splash of color and that's about it. :D I'm always stoked when I can pack in so many of my favorite colors into a single outfit. Hope y'all like it! <3 <3 <3
