I finally gave in to my seasonal affective disorder and wore an all black outfit. >_< Hehe. It was in the upper 30s and let me tell you, it felt fantastic compared to last week's negative temperatures. It had rained the night before, so it was humid and there were puddles and slush mounds everywhere. Now, if only the sun had made an appearance, it would be have been perfect and I might not have worn this. ;P
I did use this dull, overcast, but rather temperate day as an excuse to wear my new vintage sweater. I pined after it for so long--maybe a year? Finally, I received it through my clothing swap group and I've never been happier. It's a Jack Winter sweater and the oversized floral design and reflective threads give it an 80s feel. It's soft and comfy, though I wish it were longer. To compensate for this, I wore these ModCloth high waisted shorts underneath. Worked like a charm! You can barely see them. :D
I'm also wearing my new ModCloth boots! The ground was icy, but they provided the right amount of grip and they're so comfortable. I have the brown version, which you've seen me wear already. I liked the brown ones so much that I had to get them in black during last year's 50% off sale. The zippers on the black version are so sticky and really annoying, though. During this little photo shoot, the zipper on the right boot unraveled and my partner had to help me get it re-aligned. I was so disappointed, because I really love them. I have since returned the boots and I hope to buy a replacement soon.
Anyway, I hope you liked this oufit! It's definitely one of my simpler creations and maybe even a little boring, as a result. Haha. Still, the sweater really puts a smile on my face and I think the all-black canvas was appropriate, though I look forward to wearing the sweater with other colors. ^_^
