Remember this boho punk outfit from last week? A lot of thought and preparation went into making this ensemble, so I thought it would be cool to show you guys how I created it step by step! I've had some requests to do so-called layering tutorials. Hehe. I guess this sort of counts as one. I just thought it would be helpful to bring you into my thought processes surrounding this particular outfit. ^_^
I apologize for the strange lighting. Where I live in the U.S., it gets dark at like 5 PM when Fall/Winter sets in. It sucks balls. >_< When I took these photos, it was maybe an hour before sunset. My hands were freezing and I was wearing gloves! So, I might have been hasty with the camera settings. Hehe.
STEP 1: I started with the basic grey maxi dress from Choies and an asymmetrical knot.
STEP 2: Then I had added my black cardigan. However, this time, I'm using my thrifted floral poncho as the second layer. I think it improves upon the style a bit more. I follow this with the third layer...
STEP 3: ...my thrifted fringed crochet poncho and...
STEP 4: THEN, I add the asymmetrical long sleeved cardigan. This overlapping is better, IMO.
STEP 5: Finally, I top it off with my vegan leather jacket from TIL Darling and...voila! :D
I think the other elements of the outfit are pretty self explanatory. ^_^ I'm not brave enough to do a Youtube video like some other bloggers. Sorry! I'll get there...maybe. Anyway, I hope these mannequin photos are good enough! Oh and if you'd like to see a tutorial for a specific outfit, just make a request!
Thank you for your kindness, as always! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! <3
