I've only worn this dress once before now. I believe it's been two years since I last wore it. However, after having experienced it's awesomeness yet again, I am thinking very seriously about my decision to let it go... o_O O_o. Ugh. It's a fantastic dress and yes, it is for sale! You can see the full dress down below. I just couldn't resist the temptation to layer the hell out of this frock. :D I got the maroon fish scale skirt from my awesome swap group. I added the lace bodysuit for texture and the steampunk glasses for a more futuristic finish. If the world is going to hell, the least you can do is meet the apocalypse full on and in style. Haha. All I need now is a cool hover board. :D
Also, I wanted to demonstrate the versatility of this dress. It's practically fool proof in the sense that I think it looks great with just about anything. I love the partially smocked bodice, the heather grey ribcage, the cowl neck and the exposed zipper in the back. This dress just plain rocks!
Oh and check out these rad sunglasses from Shop Calico! The quality is great and of course I like the style, but I'm not convinced that I look cool with the glasses on my face. Haha. I'll give myself some more time to decide whether I want to give them away or keep them. I got the sunglasses as part of Chictopia's Reward Program. Apparently, I had racked up enough cool points to earn a free reward. Chictopia has a lot of rewards from which to choose and they vary in "price." These sunglasses retail for $18 and I spent 1,800 points to get them. Some rewards can cost upwards of 100,000 points. o_O
I'm also featuring a fantastic vintage high waist floral pleated skirt I bought from OwlynnsVintique on Etsy. This skirt is so perfect. I love the dark canvas and not-too-bright (i.e. girly) florals. I'm excited to use this skirt in later experiments with pattern mixing. I love that it has pockets, as I didn't even know that when I bought it. I was just so enamored with the print and colors. It has a two button closure at the waist which basically forms the left side pocket. Maybe it's just me, but I think that's really cool. :D
See how it looks, all innocent and uncorrupted? ;) You should totally buy this dress! :D
