T-Shirt Fashion Challenge!
SUX (Austria), Yan (China), District of Chic (D.C.) & Yours Truly ^_^
These are just a few styles demonstrating that t-shirts don't have to be boring. I think there's a little bit for everyone here. There's the casual/edgy look, the eclectic/colorful look, the elegant/chic look and then..uh..me. I'm not sure how I'd classify that one. Haha. Just your average color-block look, I guess.
I'm bored and I need a fun fashion challenge, so I'm challenging myself to wear a t-shirt every day for the month of July. :D I've found that I have a ton of t-shirts and I haven't worn many for most of this year. I've got enough Threadless shirts to last me three months. Yeah... So, this should be easy! :D
I was curious as to how many different ways I could style an outfit around a t-shirt. I figured, if I made myself think about it every day this month, I would surely come up with at least a few really amazing styles and that would make this all worth it. Haha. So, here's one of my styles for this week.
This is going to be a quick post, since you've seen most of these pieces before in some way shape or form, including this t-shirt. The last time I wore it, I was in Portland! You can see that look here.
I wore a pleated black maxi skirt at that time. Here, I opted for my latest plaid maxi (and instant favorite), jazzed it up with a blazer instead of a cardigan and finished the look with some combat boots.
I've also got a new hairstyle. Hehe. I'm channeling Janelle Monáe a little bit, I guess. :D I never know what to do with my hair. I wish I could just wear a hat every day, so I wouldn't have to think about it. Haha. I really don't care about it at all. I'm trying to make more of an effort, though. Maybe, I'll do this particular style again. I have to admit, I do like it and it definitely got people's attention. :P~
Yep. It's really nothing special. Just a skirt, boots, a blazer and a shirt. However, my aim was to use colors and textures to make the overall look aesthetically appealing and fun! :D Also, this t-shirt is one of my favorites to play around with due to its versatile color and surrealist retro inspired print. <3
I'm going to avoid wearing jeans with my tees during the challenge. So, let's see what else I can do! :D
