Full Steampunk Ahead

I'm super stoked to show off my thrifted steampunk vest. It's so beautiful! <3 It's hard to be super casual while wearing a vest like this. In my opinion, you kind of have to go all out with it. Otherwise, you wouldn't be doing it justice. So, I broke out my handmade tie (shipped from Montreal); paired it with my new Forever 21 metal tip lapel blouse and finished the overall look with a comfortable pocket skirt. Look at those incredible details! So awesome! I love the burnished metal ovules and how the vest zips only part way. This vest is perfect! I have to admit, I felt ready to kick so much ass in this outfit. Haha :D

Of course, this look would not have been complete without these rad steampunk flip glasses from zeroUV. I have quite a collection of sunglasses, but I find myself consistently choosing these when I go out. I think it's because they go with everything and they add a different element to each outfit. Anna!!!! First of all, you look absolutely amazing, not to mention bad*ss in this incredible vest! There is so much military inspiration coming in the trends this fall- you are so ahead of the game! You just seem to effortlessly rock anything and everything, it's amazing!

The fact that you like this style says a lot, actually. Thank you! I think some people tend to stay within their own comfort levels and seek out styles that reinforce that level of comfort. Your styles are so crazy beautiful and colorful, but you can also find beauty in darker colors and harsher textures. I appreciate your open mind!

Oh, oh, oh! I LOVE this so much. I think it can be fun to really play with clothing sometimes and do things like menswear or steampunk, but this... manages to be playing without being a costume. And it is just plain COOL.
