This time I went for simplicity and comfort. I did some basic pattern mixing and very light layering with the olive zipper jacket. I liked the black version of the jacket so much, that I got the olive, too. ^_^ I'm diggin' the bright yellow version, also. They're pricey, so I guess two jackets is enough for now. Heh.
I've worn this pleated floral vintage skirt quite a few times. It's one of my favorite purchases from last year. *^_^* Click here to see how I styled it over Winter and click here to see a comparatively tougher look I created with it last Summer. The colors of the skirt are so versatile. I know it will get lots of wear!
This gold turtle necklace is so cute! I've had it for awhile now, but I seem to be rather picky about how I wear it. It might be due to the fact that the chain is extra long and not really adjustable. I figured the sea of lines above my floral skirt could use something extra and little Hodor fit the bill. :D Oh, yeah. I named my turtle, Hodor. Haha. His name used to be Michio Kaku. It was a bit unwieldy. Hehe.
The striped batwing slub tee is another great purchase from last year. I took it with me on my trip to Austin and wore it so many times. This is my first time showing it off on my blog, though. ^_^ It's super soft and comfortable. I like the extra wide neckline, because it gives the tee a palpable casual vibe. Sometimes, I'll pull one of the sleeves down over my shoulder to further accentuate that relaxed feeling.
These slotted black shoes are amaaaazing. I love them so much! I forgot to take a photo of the back, but if you check out the product link you'll see that there are zippers at each heel. Just like with the brown sandal flats I wore in this previous post, I was looking for something basic that looked like a sandal, but was sleek enough to go with all of my outfits and not just my casual ones. These are great!
Like the gold turtle necklace, I find that I'm picky with how I wear these bronze sunglasses. I think dark colors and earthy tones best compliment them and, due to their design, I tend to regard them as Spring/Summer sunglasses. So, that's why I haven't worn them since my trip to Austin last year and that's also the reason why you're seeing them for the first time on my blog, today. Hehe. :D
I think they're great, though! The color is simple enough to be understated, but the overall retro design keeps them interesting. I look forward to styling these sunnies with my upcoming Summer outfits. ^_^
This outfit is super simple and maybe even a little boring, but you know I have to keep it real and throw some lame ones in there every now and again. Haha. Not all of my outfits are intense/complicated.
I guess I'm trying to show (myself) that I can do regular styles or whatever. It's a challenge. Hehe.
