I guess...this is as close to sophisticated as it will get for me. Hehe. I thought about adding all sorts of different colors and layers. However, the more I tried to do with this outfit, the less I liked it. Sometimes, it really is best to just keep things simple. Plus, I wanted my awesome popsicle socks to stand out. ^_^

When I received the socks from my sponsor, Sock It To Me, I thought: 'Holy sh*t. Neon coral popsicle socks?' o_O Haha. I freaked out. I loved the print and color, but I didn't exactly find myself brimming with style ideas at first glance. Nevertheless, I refuse to back down from a style challenge and I am determined to continually wear these socks in flattering and interesting ways. Their manatee socks are still giving me a run for my money, though. >_< Haha. Anyway, I figured a black canvas would make the neon coral pop and I was right. :P Still, I didn't want to cop out and do just an all-black outfit.

So, I punched up the color with a bright teal sweater and administered another dose of patterns with the houndstooth backpack. I've wanted a plain, bright teal sweater for a long time and I was lucky enough to get this one through my clothing swap group. It's ASOS brand and well-made. The material is warm and I really love the depth of the weaving on the chest. The patterns create kind of an optical illusion.

Yep! ^_^ This is my most normal looking outfit of the year, I think. Haha. Enjoy, because it will be back to regularly scheduled programming, next week. ;D Have an awesome weekend, everyone! <3

I've really, REALLY need to update my shoe game. I just don't have enough everyday shoes and I'm always impressed with how you rock your loafers. Is this seriously something you can wear in the winter? Also, I have skinny ankles (flat feet). So sometimes, shoes with no ankle support is really crappy for me. Any suggestions in that department lol?

Otherwise, great post. That's a cute overall jumpsuit.

Aww. Thanks, man! :D Ahh, yeah. Good question. Haha. Well, it depends on the weather. Sometimes we'll get really warm days in the winter time and by warm I mean in the 30s. Hehe. You'd be surprised how "warm" that feels compared to say, 5 degrees. On days like those, I'll wear flats with socks/tights and not have to worry too much about cold ankles. You can't really tell in the photos, but I'm wearing another pair of socks underneath along with thermal pants and black tights. ;D I covered all my bases even though it was pretty nice out. I would say, if the temperature is right and it's relatively dry, you can wear flats without any problems! :P

As for the ankle support, I have no idea. Haha. I have pretty skinny ankles and I'm flat footed as well, but I also have huuuuge feet. So, I have a whole set of other problems. Heh. <3

Love that the socks stick out, that is perfect. Most would put loads of other patterns or colours with this and it would draw your eye away, but it's perfect with the socks standing out, love the bit of blue as well :)) Beautiful xx

OMG the socks are so adorable! You know what these would look great with? Madafakin heels man! I'm kind of going crazy for pumps with socks right now, sorry! :-D I love the way you styled them with the black and teal, really digging the patterns of the sweater and the magnificent luster of the loafers O_O

I 100% agree. There are a couple problems for me, though. First, heels are kind of the bane of my existence. Haha. I love them, but that love is unrequited. I can't last more than a few hours in them. The higher the heel, the worse the pain. Second, though I have been known to wear heels in the winter time, ice and snow can be a real pain in the ass (even in low heels!). So, basically, everything would have to be in perfect alignment for me to wear socks with heels. If I can make it happen, though, I will! <3

Hey Anna! Thank you again for the recent post on my blog! It means a lot and I think a lot of people really enjoyed it. I know I did! And yeah-if you have any ideas of how to fix the font etc, let me know! I, unfortunately, do not know :P
Anyway, I love this outfit! I think the sweater design is actually really cool and I love the color. And again, those socks are awesome and they remind me of summer :)

I think you look amazing, so beautiful, and the outfit is great as well! I loved your outfit, really! The sweater (fab color!) and the overall (I'm too fat to wear it, so I love to see it now, people who can wear it - I love overalls!) and ah, the socks are super sweet, I am glad you figured out with what to wear it! Gahhhh. Why would you say that about yourself? =[ You're not "too fat" for anything. I promise you! It's not about trying to fit into smaller clothes (though, I've been guilty of trying to do that...still am, really.. I never said I was a strong person. I just try to be...hehe). It's about finding clothes that flatter your body type and I truly believe this. This is why I have clothes in XS to XL. If it looks good, I wear it, regardless of the size on the label.
