Farmers Market (T-Shirt Challenge!) - Part 3/9

Hey, there! :D I was super stoked to finally do a farmers market run over the weekend. I always love going. Even though I get nervous around large groups of people, there's just something about the hustle and bustle of the farmers market that keeps me coming back again and again. You never know what you'll find or who you'll run into. It can be kind of a magical experience. Hehe. Plus, over time, you get to know the vendors really well and I find myself looking forward to catching up with them when I go. In some instances, I've made some long lasting friendships. So, it's a bit like going home.

In keeping with my self-imposed t-shirt challenge, I created a light and airy outfit around my super awesome narwhal tee.
You may remember this tee from an outfit post I did last year. If you want to see that look, just click here. :P I kept the look casual with an open-knit cardigan and a lightweight maxi skirt. I wanted a maxi skirt in this color for a long time, so I'm happy to finally have one.

I've got a couple more new things to share and then I'll leave you with some of my favorite photos from the farmers market! :D So, as you can see, I also decided to wear a big floppy hat. I feel like, if you're going to go to an outdoor market in the heat, you need two things for sure: a maxi skirt/dress and a big hat. Hehe. I've had this hat forever and hardly wear it. I bought it back when I was living in Japan. I guess I don't really like how it looks on me, but it's the only sun hat I own, so...yeah. Heh.

Finally, in addition to a larger bag for my farmers market goodies (you'll see that below), I also carried a neutral colored handbag. I
got it from Cotton On late last year and I was excited to finally have a reason to wear it. Some outfits require a neutral color as a finish, you know? I think this is one of them. :P

See? Our farmers market is pretty damn cool! :D
I brought home lots of fresh veggies, but mostly delicious sweets of all kinds. I just can't resist baked goods made from scratch. I always have to get the homemade carrot cake with cream cheese frosting. I just can't live without it. Hehe. In the Fall, I usually opt for the more seasonal pumpkin cake version. It's soooo good! I hope you enjoyed the photos! :P

Hehe. Yeah, I'm nervous around people, especially when there are large quantities of them. Hehe. I also don't like being looked at. It's hard to explain. I wonder why I have this fashion blog. Hahaha. To make myself a little more open and social, maybe. <3 Not sure.

It was fun! I forgot how much I missed going to the farmer's market. I should really make more of a habit of it. In all honesty, I'm just lazy. I'd rather cuddle up with pancakes at 11 AM on Saturday, rather than wake up at 8 AM to bike down the farmer's market. Haha. Not gunna lie. The power of pancakes is quite strong. <3

The last farmers market I went to was up in Warwick and it was not near as cool as this one looks. The tee is really cute and pairing it with the red maxi (which I LOVE btw) makes it more dressy and less casual.

Aww. Thanks, Effie! <3 This is a pretty girly (and in my opinion, super boring) outfit, but it's hard to be super stylin' at a farmer's market. There's so much that could go wrong, namely, me spilling something all over myself. Haha. I can't resist the sloppy yum yums at the food carts. So, I figured I tried to dress as plain as I could, while being somewhat stylish. :P Still not sure how I feel about that hat, but I'm glad you folks like seeing it on my big head! :D

Good thing you saved that hat! I think it goes perfectly with this outfit. And I love, love, love the red skirt. But I'm biased b/c red is my fav. I had to check our your previous posts b/c I've been away from blogging, and I think you're doing an awesome job with the t-shirt challenge! Keep 'em comin!

Ooooh capoiera! I mainly go to our local farmer's market for music and great deals on honey. It's too bad we don't have merchants wearing those beehive hats, that would have been cool for me.

I like how very flowy your red maxi skirt looks!

Hi sweetie!!! Thanks so much for your awesome comments. YOu always make me smile! I so love your skirt and can I just say that I get so nervous in large crowds also. I'm really short, so people hovering makes me claustrophobic. I still have never been to a concert due to this! LOL! Have a great day girl! xx Pip
